My Detailed Deer Illustration Took Me Two Weeks To Finish, And Here’s The Result
I wanted to share something large I’ve been working on, and maybe get a little feedback?
I spent two weeks on this illustration and I’m intending it to be the first in series on drawings dealing with animal cognition and loss.

I’ve never seen a less amused animal, haha
Oh deer…
Documenting work
My partner is a champ photographer, so she helps me document my work. Nothing beats a good image of your work.
Grass. The devil is in the details
Getting ready to shoot and share! Documenting work at this size is a whole new animal
Finished piece H88″xW42″
This is where it’s at now… I think the next in the series will be the same size, but with more action.

Share on FacebookExcellent piece of art! As a fellow artist I understand how much time and effort this one took - two weeks of time is really fast for such a big and detailed piece!
Hahaha, it was a bit rushed, I had to get it done for a magazine thing and well... procrastination and all that.
Load More Replies...Coming from an artist, I could never have the patience for these details, this is so cool. And this deer isn't playing...
Yeah, it looks like it just stomped the wolf to death lol
Load More Replies...This is actually so goddamn good! As an artist who has like a million wips I couldn't relate to the amount of detail and effort in this omg I wish I could do something like this one day :)
Cet oeuvre me rend super triste....
Amazing work. But so many questions. Is that a bouquet of flowers growing from the one on the ground? Is the one one the ground another deer or another animal? Is this depicting loss or victory for the buck? Are the birds diving or falling? I get so many different stories from this piece.
Wow that's amazing art . You are exceptionally good. Continue with that bro
Beautiful. I love your picture. I love deer as much as I've tried I can not draw a deer yours is absolutely perfect
Not trying to be a hater but this honestly pisses me off a little. It looks like you've maybe seen a mule deer or blacktail from your car a couple times or something. You drew a cow head and stuck antlers on it. You even gave it dead dumb cow eyes. It's not so much about the inaccuracies but you took all the wild out of it. Is that supposed to be a Woolf or something on the ground.
*wolf. And I can immediately tell you're not an artist and I'm not impressed Quick heads up, if that looks like a cow to you please, get your eyes tested. And about the artist seeing "maybe a deer from your car a couple times" perhaps consider the fact that this is the 21st century and google is at your fingertips for referencing and not make inconsiderate comments like this?
Load More Replies...That is really awesome!Death and sadness captured in deep moment with great technique.Love the eyes of the only one survivor. They say it all...And the flowers continue to grow from the great loss... You should paint them red:)
It belongs in a museum, my friend. You 're talent is a spectacular addition to the art community, and brings an amazing amount of beauty to the table! It has such a flowing style, yet sharp at the same time. Very dramatic, very dreamy, and very inspiring. Thank you for sharing and good luck on your further pieces!!
Incredible well done I really wish I could do this wow this is incredible! Trying to teach me to draw any hints?
