Gosh, I can’t imagine. When I was a teen me and my family were very well off. But when I was with my friends that were in different situations we would always do something we could all afford, like thrifting and finding the ugliest things we could or going to a matinee and sneaking candy in. I went to a private school with kids whose parents owned jets and a yacht and other kids who were there because of donations. There were good kids that had the jet and yacht lifestyle but gosh there were kids who were so clueless. One kid said he was poor. Pointed out he lived on a golfing neighborhood (the links were his backyard) and owned a golf cart and boat. He still said he was poor. Smh

As a parent of a child with special needs, I need to let y'all know that sometimes that type of behavior is compulsive and can't be stopped without creating a physical barrier. It isn't a matter of being a bad parent or a bad child. It's a matter of a child who has a mental illness that can't always be controlled to fit into societal norms. That being said, if my son broke one TV, I'd make it a point to make sure that he couldn't break another before replacing it. Mounting it in plexiglass or something like that. Anyhow, before y'all go off on parents, recognize that it isn't always the parents who are the issue. I have three kids - only one has these issues and it's because of physical trauma he experienced in the womb and as an infant.
