Love Is In Small Things, We Just Don’t Always Notice It
My name is Nidhi Chanani and I’m a freelance illustrator. When I decided to pursue art as a career I said repeatedly “I want to make people happy.” In the rush and rhythm of daily life I started to pause and capture these moments.
Each day is comprised of moments of love. Day by day the amount varies, sometimes its a kitty kiss or viewing a colorful sunset. Other days its sharing ice cream with my husband or a six hour chat with my best friend.
We are surrounded by distractions. Its easy to forget love. Love that travels from afar and love that has a home inside us. I see it in the faces of my friends, the animals around us, the warm embrace of my husband and my daughter’s smile.

Share on FacebookThe last one is definitely my favorite one. (even if they are all very nice).
What I especially loved is that the artist (Nidhi) didn't try to make the woman's and man's bodies perfect. She portrayed true love despite the physical imperfections...
This made me smile. The person I love is sick, and this makes me think about all the reasons why we're still in love :)
How are they isolated. Theres many out in the world. If they have other friends theres many hours in a day. These are small snap shots...many in bed. Perhaps they don't share their bed with their friends.
Load More Replies...Too Sweet, too amazing, almost all the adorable moments of relationship... together...
My favourite one was "You said you didn't want any" Really, really nice. It seems that love surrounds us, and by these illustrations love is present. Great work, Nidhi. Love them :)
These were beautifully illustrated, and it comes to show that there is love everywhere =^-^=
I have shared this series before and often gaze through it again and again by myself and feel sad that so many people in relationships or marriages never know the warmth and richness of experiencing any of these and yet its so simple..all it takes is to do away with expectation, egos, games and most importantly emphasis on material, security and worth while selecting a partner. At the end of the day its mutual respect and consideration that makes love become stronger and not his or her CA or MD degree, his bright career prospects or her petite figure and stylish dress sense...
Me too. The last one culminates all of the previous ones. All, a book form?
nice nice nice nice - you said you didn't want any... - I'm that guy
Love is never out of fashion. Though in our complex world it is sometimes ignored. Here it is honored.
This is so beautiful and heartwarming. Your illustrations truly do make people happy :)
