I Draw Illustrations To Support The Conservation Of The Great Barrier Reef (8 Pics)

My name is Nathan Ferlazzo. I’m based in Melbourne, Australia and I drew these illustrations to support the protection of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. A share of profits from every print sold is donated to Great Barrier Reef Legacy.

I studied multimedia design at Monash University and worked in various design studios in Melbourne for several years as a graphic designer before making the exciting move to start a family business – Marini Ferlazzo. I have a passion not only for art and wildlife but also for science and nature. Inspired by people like David Attenborough, Eugene von Guerard, MC Escher and characters from my favorite books, like Mowgli and Bagheera (The Jungle Book), I’m in constant pursuit to expand my knowledge about planet Earth and its connection to humans.

These are gorgeous! I think it's very clever how you let the colours fade to white since dead corals are turning white too. Approved by fellow illustrator. ;D

awesome pictures. I wish our government would get their fingers out of their arses and do something drastic to improve our beautiful natural treasure. The Great Barrier reef is struggling so much due to the warmer waters, the sun bleaching and the devastating crown of thorns. It's getting so bad that scientists believe the acidity in the water are pushing the reefs past the point of no return. I do hope that isn't the case, it would be absolutely disgraceful.

Problem is they are bought and paid for by big energy companies whose vested interest is in raping and pillaging the environment.
