We are something society has taught people to fear: the embodiment of self-determination, refusing our assigned roles and finding our own path. We are free in a way that those who abide instead can never know. A way that many of them never feel any need to seek out, as they are content with that assigned role. Don't fear us, see what we represent: the freedom to be you outside of the boundaries set for you by others!

It's easy to attack and falsely accuse the powerless and the voiceless, it gives the perpetrators somewhere to point the finger instead of themselves. Literally dozens of cisgender heterosexual males (and most of them religious freaks and rightwingnuts) are arrested EVERY WEEK for the crimes they falsely accuse Trans people of committing.

Gender dysphoria, a legitimate medical condition which requires a diagnosis and years of psychiatric treatment, followed by surgery, has little to do with what people now call "trans". No one takes issue with those who actually have gender dysphoria, people take issue with those that self identify and expect they now have the right to invade female spaces, telling parents, teachers, politicians and doctors that they're morally obligated to provide life altering, irreversible, and sometimes life-threatening "care" to children. It's the growing trend of trying to erode the identity of homosexuals (can't say you're gay/les anymore it's "genital preference) while treating anyone not attracted to a body that does not align with their sexuality or your sense of self as phobic, bigoted and hateful. Everyone should be free to do whatever makes them happy, so long as it doesn't threaten the safety of anyone else.....but that's not what's playing out.

There is no "debate". They are human beings, and reputable scientists (which rightwing fanatics are not) verify Trans existence as normal and natural. Your ignorance and bigotry doesn't change or refute reality.

Remember, my dear: gender is a travel and an experience. You can experience it differently in different stages in your life. Explore, discover, look inside yourself and outside, to our wonderful community. Don't let world's expentancy to chain you down.

There is birth-assigned gender, which is what our genes say. Then there is - what would you call it? Mental gender, personal gender, spiritual gender?
