35 Humorous Street Art Pieces Incorporated Into The Streets Of Paris By OakOak (New Pics)
Various forms of street art like graffiti are a familiar sight in all our cities. Street art is there to surprise and inspire us, to shake up the often dull urban environments in which it can usually be found in order to give us a fresh perspective on our otherwise familiar neighborhoods and streets. In the last few years, the number of talented street artists has grown dramatically, meaning that this also affects people's interest in street art as it is not an easy thing to create clever art in a short period of time.
It’s definitely not the first time that the French street art artist OakOak has been mentioned on Bored Panda, as we have previously featured the said artist’s work here, and here. The artist is well-known for his “urban-like” style, created on random streets of France and Paris, and composed entirely of things such as spray paint and even random objects found on the premises. Cracks, holes, and small grooves are enough for OakOak to notice the figures they suggest and that’s where he gets most of his inspiration from; his work is done on the go.

The French artist describes himself as a “fun-loving street artist who likes to play with urban elements,” given that his creations range from either being very light and humorous to very inspirational and deep as he tries to bring exposure to important topics such as climate change.
The artist has also released a book called “Oak Oak Let’s Play” that has more than 100 images of his creative and clever works. The book was released in 3 languages and features some of the most famous pieces from Oak Oak. You can see Bruce Lee kicking some concrete to a tightrope walker about to cross a chain, with each piece a hilarious take on an ordinary object in the streets of Paris.
Here's the official introduction to the artist’s book from the publisher’s release:
“Oak Oak is a young man from Saint-Etienne (France) who loves to take a walk in the city. But unlike any ordinary tourist looking for historical buildings and the most daring architectures, Oak Oak seeks insignificant details. A small crack on a wall? That is precisely what he will be drawn to! Instead of seeing a defect in construction, he would rather see a web spun by Spider-Man. A post has been knocked over? Instead of blaming whoever failed to put it back in place, he would rather make up a story to explain why it is down. Therefore, Oak Oak is an unusual lateral thinker in an urban environment. Welcome to his world…”
This is awesome! I honestly can't tell if the 'hive' is painted or part of the original (broken) cement.
