We’re Loooop, a French creative studio specializing in one-line art and we’d like to share our last project with you: we reinterpreted 50 of the most iconic fictional characters with one line.

We are living in an era of visual abundance and every day we’re overwhelmed by more details, more colors, and more everything... We chose the opposite: our passion is to design subjects in the simplest form of art, a single unbroken line. The result looks simple but it’s indeed quite a challenge to achieve and a single drawing can take several hours… or days!

We hope you’ll like it and appreciate this ‘less is more' moment.

We’re a small team of international artists, designers, animators and other creative fields that are passionate about line art and particularly continuous line art. It all started in 2015 with our 2 French co-founders, Stephane and Emma, who decided to dedicate their passion for minimalism and line art to a professional level. They believe that, as simple as it looks, line art is timeless and can offer unlimited possibilities in terms of message, medium and usage. And they were right! Since its creation, Loooop Studio has collaborated with worldwide brands such as Cartier, Adidas, Hermes, Facebook, Samsung, Google, Nike and many more.

Stephane (co-founder and creative director) is the one drawing these iconic characters: “I try to achieve a balance between having the simplest result possible and a drawing that is recognizable. While creating, it’s very pleasing to play with the lines and the white spaces until you’re happy with the artwork. The result looks simple but it’s indeed quite a challenge to achieve and depending on the subject, a single drawing can take several hours… or days!”

This is an ongoing project, there are still plenty of characters that we’d like to reinterpret! But we just love to draw about anything. We recently launched our Instagram account where we post one line drawing a day. Our followers can tell us what they’d like to see. We’re on a mission to make the world minimalist, one line at a time!

We love to hear from the people of our community, they always suggest that we draw unexpected things. We’re currently working on temporary tattoos for those who want to have our lines without too much pressure.

Also, our viral “wild lines” about animals will be continued and you can get some limited-edition framed animated artworks with the Lumas galleries.

If you like our drawings, see you tomorrow on Instagram for a new line!
