The Beauty Of Little Things: My 30 New Miniature Paintings

This may be cliché, but when was the last time you really stopped to smell the flowers?

Hey there! My name is Rachel Beltz and I am on a mission to make people stop and appreciate the “little” wonderful details of their everyday life. Using watercolors, I aim to create realistic miniatures; each of my pieces are roughly the size of a United States Quarter (for my International friends, that’s about 28 x 28 mm.)

Imagine a house small enough to fit under a single key on your keyboard... maybe your favorite singer... or even a ferocious tiger that could fit under a mere postage stamp? I have painted them all; squeezing in each and every detail.

I paint for the details. Hopefully, you can bring some of this into your daily life. I have spent my 22 years of life on Earth rushing - I don't want other people to do the same.

Amazing; what talent! It's hard enough to create photorealism with watercolors but to do it on such a small scale is almost unfathomable.

Very derivative of Lorraine Loots of Painting with Ants fame who has been painting tiny watercolor/gouache paintings for years. Meh, it would be nice to see less copying in another's style and do something different.

Maybe I am misreading the gist of your comment, but are you upset that the person who posted these pictures is practicing self promotion? I think on Bored Panda, an international forum for self-promotion, you are going to find a lot of that. Do you read the Kirkus Book Review?
