When I was in college, I studied English, but have since really not done anything with that degree. For years, I’ve made paper art. Recently, I got a Glowforge which allowed me to branch out and try to make new things as well as use my English degree. Meet the Millennimals. They’re all very special.
Also, if you’d like to see my previous posts on paper art then click here, here, and here!

This is Ryon
She’s a basic bunny. She is TikTok famous (but only ironically) and has an unnecessarily complicated Starbucks drink. She never uses filters (obviously) and is not like the other basic bunnies.
This is Diantha
Her name is Greek and means, ‘divine flower’, which she takes literally. Her IG bio is just the emojis 👑 🌱 and the quote: “She is like a wildflower; beautiful, fierce, and free.”
She wears non-prescription wire-rim glasses, only buys Kanken bags and yellow Vans. She has a very specific diet that includes only eating orange foods on Tuesdays. She doesn’t know how many plants lead to pure happiness, but so far, it’s not 57.
This is Tobias
His restaurant, “Avocado Nope” employs a full-time pyrographer to burn the menu onto sheets of wood, which are later repurposed to plank their sustainably farmed organic salmon.
Their bar menu is written on a chalkboard in an elaborate script, detailing each of their cocktails, all made in-house and all named after French philosophers. The dining tables are all communal cafeteria-style seating and are adorned with tall glass bottles with German-style flip caps and a succulent. In his spare time, he polishes his collection of carbon steel knives, each with a beautiful patina, and enjoys taking care of his collection of sourdough yeast cultures.
This is Maxton
The Latin translation of his name means “greatest,” which he is (just ask him, all others are so pedestrian). He is a photographer in New York City. He wears a cap even when it’s not cold outside. He seeks to capture man’s true nature for he knows it’s more than throwing breadcrumbs at him in the park.
This is Branford
He’s a self-taught musician. He only drinks domestic gluten-free beers. He’s in a band that you’ve never heard of. They record their songs on cassette tapes “ironically.” When the band practices he holds up the rehearsals so he can tune by ear.
This is Journi
She just got back from a yoga retreat in India and a backpack expedition through Thailand. She has several tattoos, one that says “الأربعاء” (which means free spirit) and “麺” (which means Faith, Passion, Discipline). She cleanses her flat every week with crystals: amethyst to reduce stress, citrine for good luck, and quartz to keep her mind open and clear (just to name a few). She attends Coachella every year, where she wears her floral print kimono, Karen Walker tortoise shell-toned sunglasses, vintage Levi’s high-waisted jean cutoff shorts, and a lot of turquoise and feathers.
Anyway, that’s what I’m doing with my life. I guess you could say I’m hitting my 30s pretty hard.

Share on FacebookDear Journi, you are adorable but your Arabic tattoo means "Wednesday".
And her Japanese tattoo means noodles
Load More Replies...these are so cute and such a fun idea! good job to the creator of them!
The three definitions given for the Japanese character all have independently different kanji too!
Load More Replies...Oh wow, I'd absolutely love to see some more! They're all awesome and cute <33
You should do one with a dog of some kind, I think! :D
Load More Replies...I've never really considered working with wood/laser cutters before, but these have made me want to check it out! I've already made ceramic animals before, but wood carving sounds like it'd be fun as well.
Can these be purchased? I scanned the article but I didn't see any links for purchase. Tobias is my favorite and, well all of them are super cute.

Load More Replies...Awesome. Impressive. Creative, and imaginative. Kudos! Bravo! Standing ovation. Encore. Encore.
Omg. These are precious. I’d like to see some less visible/troped millennials, like the adult gamers.
Or like the older millennials in their mid thirties to early forties. I think lots of people forget the younger and older ends of the millennial spectrum and focus more on the late 20s/ early 30s.
Load More Replies...Dang. These are so awesome. You should sell them on Etsy. They would make awesome fridge magnets... Ironically, of course. 😉
good news, she has an Etsy! https://www.etsy.com/shop/FromPentoPaper?ref=shop_sugg
Load More Replies...Getting more and more complex. Journi's lovely, and I very much enjoy all her tiny details. I don't have a sense of their sizes, ie no bananas for scale.
Her fingers are holding Maxton in one picture, if that helps at all!
Load More Replies...I kinda feel called out because to me they all look like they're either angry or dead inside. 😅
I want to know more... are they all friends? Do they hang out together? Does Brandford's band perform at Tobias' restaurant? Ha, ha... Also you should consider selling them. They would make excellent coasters. I have laser cut Koala coasters and Iove them.
Dear Kristy, not all millenials are hipsters, but I look forward to your boomer and gen z series. Also, Journi and Branford are my favs.
I would love to embroider these on hats or patches, if you have an etsy where I can purchase the ability to recreate them 😍
Thank goodness someone with an English degree is doing creative work and not waiting tables! I can see your English degree helping with the creative stories you have for your Millennimals, adorable! These are all fantastically cute and I love your paper creations (Bob's Burgers, snorting with laughter). They are all amazing. I hope you can turn this into a full-time business.
