I Use Coffee, Tea, Beer, And Wine To Create My Art

As I love trying new and fun techniques, I decided one day to dip my brushes into some of my favorite beverages and with a little practice, I was able to create the paintings below. Some might celebrate their daily work at the easel with a large glass of red wine, I just prefer to pour it on my watercolor paper!

To use coffee as paint, I have to brew it quite strongly. Tea is simply lovely when painted but is just too light to show up in a single pass – I normally brew a couple of tea bags in a shot glass of boiling water for about 10 minutes to make the tea as dark as possible. Wine, red ale, and Guinness build much more beautiful and I use them straight out of the bottle or can!

Hey Koko, I also thought coffee or wine would ruin my brushes but they did not lose a single hair! Actually beer even soften them hehe

hey Mirable, all the paintings did smell for a while but after almost three months, only the coffee one still smells a bit (which is pretty cool if you are a coffee lover like me!!)

Hehe give it a try Leni! Wine and coffee are really nice to paint with as you can get lots of different shades and the colours can be very vibrant :)
