A pandemic is all about waiting.

Waiting 14 days for self-isolation, waiting for months until the lockdown ends, waiting for normality, waiting to see loved ones, waiting for a vaccine, a test, a result, even waiting for a roll of toilet paper, waiting to be cured or waiting to die.

Supermarket queues are the micro representations of this unprecedented wait of mankind. They are the queues of anxiety which are the part of our new normal.

The Queues of Anxiety is an ongoing photography project and I look forward to the day it will end.

Please check my website to see other photos in the project. https://bilgetekin.com/queues-of-anxiety
