This painting was created by Julia O’sullivan 4 years ago. It took me many months to research and design this piece and 5 months to actually paint it.

I had previously painted Lady Gaga and thought that she was such a colourful character that I wanted to paint someone more challenging so I chose David Bowie.

This painting ended up being of of the most magical pieces that I have ever created. The three canvases float over each other and connect in with metal and cut through windows.

The central canvas is where his story begins and it flows in a spiral clockwise fashion to his final portrait above Everest. It celebrates this rather unique artist’s life and music in a rather unique way.
