I Take Surrealist Photographs Of The Welsh Landscape In Memory Of My Father.
6 months ago my father was taken away from me because of cancer. He passed away on the 27th October 2014 ages 61. So in his memory i am creating a book of photographs of the North Wales Landscape which was one of his favourite places to visit and the last place he went on holiday to before he died.
My name is Andrew Simon, a commercial fashion photographer for Darkslide Photography from the West Midlands in the UK. However the book is not about fashion, but the beauty of nature.
They are not traditional landscape photographs, they are out of focus, they are surreal, and they are beautiful, they capture the essence of the forests, the woods, the mountains and the valleys.
The book is titled “Found – A Different direction” It is about exploration, adventures, wandering off the beaten track to discover spectacular hidden places.
All of the photography is created using a lensbaby lens, which creates the unique style of the images. They are not to everyones taste. But they encapsulate my vision of the landscapes around me
The book is being produced to raise money for the St Giles Hospice charity and i have a indiegogo page to get the book into print.
