I am unable to associate stress with Astrophotography. Stumbling around alone, in the dark attempting to capture the night sky has turned out to be quite therapeutic and relaxing for me. I lost sleep this summer but I had some pretty memorable nocturnal adventures instead.
So glad I finally got around to spending more nights exploring the island. Equipment: Sony a7, Rokinon 24mm, 14mm, Tripod, Remote Shutter Release and a couple Flashlights. Nearly all images taken at 24mm f/1.4, 20s, ISO 3200 unless specified. Post-Processing done in Adobe Lightroom and Nik Plugins. All images taken on The Big Island of Hawaii during the summer of 2016. All images except Volcano/Coast shots taken on Mauna Kea.

The track of a plane flying into Kona as The Milky Way sets on the ocean.
.... Once....as a shooting star flew by....it caught an Angel for the ride..........so, remember to wish on a falling star, but give a wave at the shooting star !.......
Stargazing along the Kona Coast.
I really love this one . I love the stars reflecting off the water
This is my favorite photo ! Looks amazing . I can only imagine how beautiful it was in person
The man with the glow-toy is a distraction here. A torch would be better.
Halema’uma’u Crater.
The Green line is Keck Telescope’s Adaptive Optics Laser Tracking the Galactic Core.
Certain things you would be wise to sacrifice sleep for. Meteor + Mauna Loa
Gorgeous!! What are the chances of getting screen wallpaper sized versions of these? 1440 * 900 in my case. I have a folder of Space wallpaper, and your pics are nicer than almost any of the ones I have.
Awesome works; I tried to hit the upvote multiple times, sadly I can give only one upvote per picture :))
These are beautiful... My love of galaxy grew more... Thank you for sharing these lovely pictures
Stunning work. Don't you love it when something fun turns into something beautiful?
Absolutely beautiful pictures! Each one shared a different story and it was wonderful seeing your photographs.
You can't see the stars where I live because of all the light pollution but these photographs are spectacular ! Great work
Every picture breathtaking, I wish I was there. Thank you for sharing
