I Spent 350+ Hours Embroidering This Self-Portrait Of Van Gogh
I am an Istanbul-based designer and illustrator. I graduated from stage and costume design. So it is, actually, my main job – designing in tv series, commercials and movies. Working in this profession gives you many different points of view, knowledge and ability, which gives me great perspective and directs me to different art branches.
I usually embroider my own illustrations but I wanted to try to do a replica of a masterpiece which I love. This is one of my works, a replica of Van Gogh’s self-portrait. It is 17 inches wide and took me more than 350 hours.
