I Spent Four Days In Santorini To See The Island Without Thousands Of Tourists And The Sunsets Enchanted Me
At the beginning of March 2018 I decided to go back to my favourite country – Greece and made one of my dreams come true.
Since I was a kid I’ve been dreaming about the white houses and churches with blue domes of Santorini – one of the most famous spots in Greece and whole Europe.
The island was almost empty – lack of tourists, silence and mild temperature made me feel like in heaven.
Almost every afternoon strong wind blowing through the caldera was creating amazing cloud forms and with the accompaniment of the sun the sky was just burning.
It was such a great time to me as a landscape photographer.
The real blessing!

Share on FacebookI've always wanted to go to Santorini because I am interested in Minoan history. Somebody I know went there and said it looked cool from the ship but wasn't great up close. It looks like you enjoyed it, though. Thanks for the pictures!
I'm also in love with history, especially with Greek. I really enjoyed the island. It is very small but you can find there archaeological sites of Minoan culture in Kamari (Ancient Thira), Akrotiri and Thirasia (haven't been to Thirasia but heard about it). In the summer it is not comfortable to walk the crowded streets but in winter, when there are more cats than people it is like a paradise :)
