As a synesthete when one of my neurological pathways is stimulated, multiple pathways are stimulated. I create my art to better understand myself and my perception of the world around me. I am inspired by social, political, and cultural issues as seen through my synesthetic vision, and the feelings accompany them. My art expresses my attempt to represent how I see the world and its many issues.
Each piece of my art is an attempt to show the world from my unique point of view. Projects often consist of multiple works, usually in a range of different media, grouped around specific themes and meanings. During research and production new areas of interest arise and lead to the next body of work.
I use many types of media, but am partial to pencil for drawing and oils for painting. The subject matter determines the materials and the forms of the work. Art is an extension of my senses. It drives my synesthesia, or the other way around. It has always been with me and always will be. To stop making artwork would be like losing a part of me.
My artwork has been featured in the January 2014 edition of Art: Addict Magazine, as well as gallery showings sponsored by companies like Century 21. I love to communicate with fans, answer questions about my three forms of synesthesia, and do special commissions!

Broadway In The Rain
A visual representation of the fusing of my chromesthesia and normal sight.
Just A Book
I paint on most hardcover books I get. This one was during the rain with some birds chirping at my mom’s house.
The Paseo

My Secret Friend
A visual representation of the fusing of my chromesthesia and normal sight.
MS MR – Hurricane
Painted this while thinking of my wife’s voice and listening to “Hurricane” by MS MR. I watched the video for the song well after doing the painting, yet they seem to mesh well.

Share on FacebookThank you for sharing your vision of the world. I've often wondered how differently we all see the same things. We learn that the sky is "blue" when we're kids, but is your sense of blue mine, or are there billions of different sky blues? Love the insight into your intensely coloured world - thank you (-:
These are captivating. I am loving the experience of them. Please share more. Thanks!
no thank you! and i most assuredly will, ma'am! :-)
Load More Replies...i have three forms! number sequencing and a special type of number form, which are both math related. i basically see math visually and strangely. ( it can be tiring and i seem to have an aversion to capital letters, hence the way i type ) and then i also have what my doctors refer to now as "chromesthesia" which, simply put, means i see color patterns when i hear any sound. it isn't debilitating in any way, but can sometimes be overwhelming. :-) i LOVE answering questions about it! i hope this is interesting information for you! :-)
Load More Replies...I love how the expression of colors does indeed cause other sences to feel something. Maybe just too empathetic and jump right in. But motion and sound jump from your works and thanks for the experience. Please post more!
thank you! and i most CERTAINLY will! :-D
Load More Replies...i've recently started a series of JUST the patterns i see from sounds and music......i'll post those at a later date! they're interesting to say the least.......
