I’m always trying to convince people who still don’t watch anime to give it a try. And as a filmmaker, I thought the best way to do that might be to show them that some of their favorite movies were inspired by anime.

From Ghost in the Shell inspiring The Matrix, to Paprika inspiring Inception, to Perfect Blue inspiring Black Swan and Requiem for a Dream, anime’s influence on our favorite films is undeniable (and pretty amazing).

I clearly remember watching ghost in the shell and was instantly mesmerised I don't know the other three so I'll definitely search for them
