I’m a story artist for Disney animation by day but by night I like to unwind with a nice cup of tea...to paint with.
I’ve been a fan of the steampunk style ever since I was introduced to it while working on the film Atlantis the Lost Empire. I was looking for ways to create my own little world within the genre and I discovered that I could create a vintage look by using tea as an art medium.
It took some trial and error to figure out which teas had the best color (earl grey and green tea. Darjeeling is a nice too) once I found the right blend I let it steep for at least 2 hours for maximum saturation. Occasionally I add just a bit of watercolor to bring in some darker values but the tea tends to work great just on its own for my works of art.
I hope you enjoy my drawing ideas as much as I enjoyed creating them, I’m just sorry you can’t experience how good they smell when I was creating these cool paintings. Cheers.

Otto is missing in it, so sad, when he could reach the sea and get back to it's element...Snif.
Book with a door k**b, so much meaning in it....With the key resting by her side
Her face is a bit Samurai like on this one....Wondering if she can fight with the guitar...
