These paintings were done with oil on paper using a "Dry Brush" technique. Oil dry brush is a painting technique where a paint brush is relatively dry but still holds paint. A very thin layer of color is applied to a paper.
Dry brush is layered layer after layer and reworked with an eraser, at this point it is possible to incorporate different lighting effects and details. Images painted with a dry brush appear very similar to a photo.
It is not an easy technique which requires a lot of time to learn and master.

The eyes are beautiful - well, the whole animal is but the eyes really pull my focus. This must take forever to do - they're so detailed.
I love them all - but this one appeals to me in particular. Looks all soft.
When you and your friend are laughing about something nasty you saw someone do
Where's the light source(s) coming from? The cats are next to each other but the tabby has dilated pupils. It looks like it's on drugs.
So much personality, not just a rendering. I am so blessed to have seen your work!
Wow, very realistic! I'd love to see my dogs in one 😊 Black horse my favourite tho.
Genius talent! Love the two lions! Their expressions! I've titled it "The Fart" would love a print of that one.
Thoose are paintings? Wow, you got such talent, they looked so realistic
I love your style. And black and white is just amazing. It really let's the viewer focus on the content of the portrait.
Have you done a single lion painting or giraffe? I've seen a painting at my older brother's house with the same painting technique
What kind of oil do you use, if I may ask? (I recently posted some of my own drawings on this site somewhere too, if anyone is interested:)
Stunning - really stunning. You are so very talented. Awe inspiring.
Omg i totally thought these were black and white people photos. These painting are incredible
