I Make Artwork Out Of Taxidermy Bats And Dried Butterflies

I use taxidermy, specifically bats, as my chosen medium to create imagery that forces the viewer to view the subjects in a completely different way. To take something that many might normally find disturbing and arrange and compose them in a way that induces a completely different feeling.

I do this to explore the different ways we value animals based on their aesthetics and superficial nature. Why does the bat frighten but the eagle inspire. Why does the butterfly make you smile but the moth makes you cringe. I try to further explore these concepts through my work.
