I believe the soul of her child came through that beautiful cat to comfort her.

Aaaaaah you brought tears to my eyes!! Not even joking, I'm typing through blurry vision :) This is beautiful! He looks just like my boy. We rescued him and had him for 2 years. Unfortunately he passed away totally suddenly and without cause. But as another post says, they might be angels. I was so devastated. I have had many cats, and I love them all, but he was really special. And I lost him. I was remarkably devastated for a long time after, and he came to me in a dream, as an angel. Bright beautiful white glowing light, wings and all. He told me that he was only here for a short while, to make my life a little better! Isn't that wild! :) I have never believed that animals are angels in any way, until that dream forced me to. I still don't believe they all are, but some must be. Just like your little guy! Who is an angel to help you through the trauma of losing a baby! How so very sweet. You're also a remarkable person yourself! All the best! <3

I have 3 "sons" Molly, Milly and Menino, they are the sons that i never had, i Love them with all my heart and now i am not with them because i cant :( but my EX loves them just like i do and she is an Angel to them :) They are everyday in my mind and in my lips and they live in my heart!

We got our little dog just after our daughter was stillborn. She died in October and he was born in September and came home with us when he was 8weeks. He has seen all of us through a very hard two years...I have never met a more gentle and loving soul. We all caught anger and he makes it go awat with his beautiful , patient , questioning gaze and velvet ears.

Cats are amazing creatures. They say so little but mean so much..

Animals are so loving, they save many people in many ways. I would never survive without a dog, my boy Auggie is now two and is constantly by my side.

Mikey is absolutely gorgeous and your pictures of him tell 1000 words. Isn't amazing when animals can understand and feel your pain more than a human ever could? I'm glad that he was there to comfort you and that you have had 12 wonderful years together...I hope you have many more.

Oh what a beautiful story. I am so sorry for the loss of your child. This cat looks exactly like a little boy someone left at the end of my driveway. I called him white kitty. He was an unexpected love. Sadly he only lived for one year and I miss him terribly. He was so loving. These pictures are so nice. Thank you.

Oh Jennifer. I'm so sorry for your loss, but so glad you had a friend to be with you. I had a kitty who knew when I was sad, and he would get in my face and meow at me until I had to pay attention to him and not my misery. I truly believe they know when we need them, just like Commentary FortyTwo said below - Mikey obviously knew you needed him. :) You're both beautiful!

My rescue kitty saved me when I lost my baby. He sure is an a hole but he's also my little angel. I was so alone and devastated at the time, I know I'd have died if I hadn't found a cat to love.

Sometimes, it is tragedy that opens our souls to our connection with the other animals with whom we share the planet. When we are aching and vulnerable, we drop the facade of dominance and superiority that too often, too sadly, cuts us off from the rest of the natural world. At those times, a kinship that transcends words and labels can begin to heal us. We develop a serenity and strength that we can draw on the rest of our lives.

So, so glad you found a sweet friend to help you! They are truly gifts from heaven. What would we do without them? And your photography is BEAUTIFUL! !!

This tiny soul reached so deeply into your soul at exactly the right time. Every time I look into an animals eyes I see a soul. I have two cats and one rescued dog. Jennifer I am so sorry for your loss. =^..^=

So sweet. This whole story made me think of my Spookie, whom looks like Mikey but black and they're even the same age. She came from the barn and to this day, we still don't know who her mother was. She just appeared out of no where one day. This tiny black fluff ball who still had blue eyes. She was that young. She's one of the remaining furry loves of my life. (Lost 5 pets within 4.5 years. Both dogs and my 3 boy cats. Grew up with the cats.)

When I miscarried 2 babies, my white cat didn't leave my side. He provides me someone to very to, and someone to talk to that just listened. He just seemed to know I needed him.

My grandma always said angels come in all shapes and sizes...animals included :-)
