I Just Completed My Cthulhu-Themed Christmas Wreath. So Many Tentacles. Merry Cthulhumas!
This tentacular wreath is the first of a few different Cthulhumas-related projects I’m working on this month. I’ve never made a wreath of any kind before, but after all the tentacles were painted and attached, along with a variety of vintage Christmas decorations, LEGO octopuses and LED lights, I’m pretty pleased by my monstrous creation.
I may have lost a little of my mind in the process, but it seems a worthwhile trade for dabbling in eldritch crafts.
Next I’ll be working on an updated version of my Cthulhumas tree. Stay tuned.

It wriggles and writhes; it whispers when my back is turned.
The shiny red beginnings of a new Cthulhumas creature.
The Cthulhus were nestled all snug in their tentacle beds.
I painted LEGO octopuses to turn them into tiny Cthulhus, emerging from the tentacular wreath.
Its lights switched on, the wreath creature awakes. We’re all in trouble now.

I really like this because from a distance it looks "nice" but once you look more closely the genius cthulhu madness is seen. Awesome!
Thanks! Those are LEGO octopuses. Are you asking if they move on the wreath? They're all affixed to it, so they don't really move.

I'm not sure anyone would be interested in the price merited by the time, materials, sanity, and pieces of my soul that went into this. :)
Load More Replies...Thanks! I made this myself. As far as I know, it's one-of-a-kind.

I really like it because it because from a distance it looks "nice" but the closer you look, the scarier it gets. Great job!
LEGO! who knew! No, I thought maybe they were made to roll when used in their intended way -- I was assuming a toy.
SERIOUSLY, how did you paint them? I used those red tentacles for my Halloween costume and everything I tried just peeled off.
I used a few different brands of spray paint. Rust-Oleum and Montana Colors seemed to work the best.
