Funny animals always make us smile or bring warmth to heart. And I found some boho cuties made by Olga (TeplOlino), a true northern artist from Pskov, Russia. Speicial features of each animal are expressed with simple clothes and threads through these boho brooches.
No matter what the artist ‘paints’, whether it’s fox fur, fish scales, or owl feathers — all looks exactly what it's in life, fluffy or wet, plumulate or cottony. The secret is in following expressionists’ oil painting techniques and liveliness of texture.
By the way, Olga gets inspired by masterpieces of the time and also reproduces them in threads, like Gustav Klimt’s apple gardens, Modigliani’s women portraits or self-portraits of Frida Kahlo. Isn’t this true boho charming?
