I Create Detailed And Delicate Flower Art, Which Can Take Up To 40 Hours To Complete (27 Pics)
My name is Pippa Dyrlaga and I am a paper cutting artist based in Yorkshire, England.
I have recently been creating flowers. I hand draw and hand cut each piece from paper which can take hours to complete. I began cutting the flowers in winter, creating a permanent garden.
Last year, I began looking into more sustainable papers for my work, which led me to the washi papers of Awagami Factory in Japan. These can range from 36-90gsm and makes the final pieces incredibly delicate. Each piece took between 10–40 hours to complete. Click here to see my previous article.

I read your statement above and these are simply amazing not just because they are hand drawn, but the effort to cut each one in such intricate detail, even capturing the shading. So very beautiful. If I were to frame such a delicate artwork, I would frame it between two sheets of glass to appreciate the work from all sides. Thanks for sharing!
I didn't write any comments because I would've run out of words very early on. These are stunning. Such delicate work. One of the most beautiful styles of art I have ever seen. I will be checking out your website.
