I started creating mosaic on stone as a way to do something light, fun and quick in between working on my fine mosaic art that could take months to create. It was a way to shake out the intensity of working on larger pieces. I have always loved rocks and the contrast of glass against stone was very appealing to me. I wanted to create these mosaics on stone as something you could put in your garden or put in your home. To take it a bit further than just a mosaic garden rock. What started out as a fun way to "detox" from larger works, turned into a very interesting challenge and connection with people and started me on my path to teaching the technique to others.
