My name is Angela and I'm a 25-year-old Illustrator living in Bangalore, India. Don't get me wrong. I will choose my curls over straight hair any day. But let's face it: Curly hair is high maintenance.
This little post highlights some of the problems of having curly hair. Know any more? Drop a comment!

this is why conditioner finishes first always and forever .i've learned to buy conditioner in bulk
Ugh it looks so amazing in front of the mirror, and outside it looks like a bird built a nest in my hair 🤦♀️
Ifkr ! This is so true ... Especially when it's something important and I wanna look presentable ...
Lmao. This is so true. It takes for ever and I end up cutting it to a bob.
Oh, no! this one is suuuuuch a problem!! It is SO hard to find a stylist that actually KNOWS how to cut curly hair!!! Once you find them, you must never ever let them go!! I made that mistake once, and now I can't find someone who cuts my hair JUST LIKE I WANT IT.
It's so hard to find good quality hair products for curly hair! Whenever I find something they discontinue it...I should just order in bulk & be done with it.
I feel like you just told my story, I hardly ever wear my hair down for curly hair reasons. But when I do someone always says "I wish my hair was that curly." And I just look at them like, really, really? Do you think this s**t is a game?
I've been learning how to deal with my curly hair for 70 years. I still haven't perfected my technique. There's always the hope that the NEXT product with be the one. My hair is white now and curly as ever.
I can relate to each one of them ! I totally enjoyed this post ! But I also love having my curls !
The bangs one is so true!! I can relate personally! 😂😂 all of them are true, but this one hit the nail on the head xD loving these!
I can't relate for the curly hair thing but I still looooove your comics
No curls on this head but I can relate to the hair dresser one. I can never find someone that can cut my hair just right.
Love these! I don't have curly hair but I have straight hair and I curl it sometimes! Go figure
I can relate on some levels, but I actually don't use a conditioner.Love your comics!
Can't support you as a patreon but u sure have my vote, love ur comics! Love from spain!!!
so so so true.. ^_^ i am still waiting for the day when my hair gonna grow up to my shoulders :'(
I have issue with the dread locks that forms at the back of my head. Oh and chasing my hair round the bathroom after a shower or trying to wipe counters down, hair following me.
People ask me if I've just had a perm. I ask them if they seriously think I'd pay to look like this.
My hair is kept about 4cm long all over for EXACTLY all of the above reasons! I SOOOO relate ! Jackie. I am 55yrs - going white fast, and the curls are now frizzes...
I just want a stylist who knows not to cut mid frigging curl. $60 to walk around with a head full of cowlicks. And why oh why is there no mention of strangers touching your hair?! JFC I hate that. They don't even ask most of the time. I AM NOT A POODLE DAMN IT. If I was, I'd bite your a*s. Off topic but I've worked with some of the most aggressive breeds and standard poodles are the least breed I've ever encountered. Id
I know some of those problems, and I have straight hair... But really it is awful what curly hair can do.
this is so funny and this is so me... specially those ponytails which freaks me out...
Love this post. For anyone struggling with curly hair look up Lorraine Massey's book Curly Girl. It is a life changer!
I have learned to embrace my curly hair no matter what it decides to do.
i love how most comics are about girl troubles,so it can definitely help with relating :3
What about the kind of girls which her hair is neither perfectly curly nor perfectly straight... Sigh... yeah, that's me :(
As a child (with thick curly hair), I used to have pigtails... just imagine it... >_<
Ouch, I already start to feel sorry for curly-haired people. You really seem to have lots of problems. I've got a very thick hair that normally resembles a bush but at least it's fairly easy to brush and maintenance. I think that if I had a curly hair I would've committed a suicide by now! I really hate to spend time on caring for my personal look.
I have frizzy and wavy-ish hair and relate to every single comic here. Love your comics! :D
