I'm a self-taught artist who began painting as a child to soothe my empathetic heart.

I found I can place myself in another's shoes to an extent and I now create artwork with the hope that those who are suffering will find solace in knowing that they are not alone and help those who are not suffering understand these struggles a bit more.

This speaks on many levels to me. Visual serenity with lingering of rage shrouded within.

I have a dear friend who is able to maintain her cool even in a figurative house fire. After hearing of her trauma and inner struggles, I couldn't help but be inspired by her elegance and composure. She may never know this was inspired by her, but when she saw it at one of my shows, she bought a print and told me "I just really love this." .
