I Came Out To My Mom As Gay, But She Still Doesn’t Know I’m Also Transgender

I noticed that something was wrong with me when I was in my first relationship with a girl. I knew that I’m gay since I was 13 and I’ve always loved being a tomboy. But soon I realized that I’ve never felt comfortable being in my own body. I was really worried so I started reading articles about gender dysphoria. Then it finally clicked – I’m transgender.

I'm not sure why parents would have a problem with their kids being gay, straight, transgender, etc...as long as they're happy. Who cares about the rest. Most parents that act this way are only thinking about how it reflects on them. "What will my friends think? Where did I go wrong? This is not how I raised my kids!" The fact is, it's not about you. It's about them. And if you are a decent parent..you love your children unconditionally. If outside forces are pressuring you to reject your kids for merely being true to themselves, then your kids aren't the problem. Love and happiness should be your only driving force when it comes to your kids.

Can you guys please stop making articles about these videos? It's incredibly likely that these guys, along with other 'animated storytime' videos in the same strand, make up these stories for views. Please stop putting them on here and give some attention to real stories about LGBT youth.
