There are many ways that you can cheer up your significant other. Besides all of the typical go-tos like flowers, favorite snacks and activities, as well as ice cream (never forget ice cream), there are also some more personal ways that each couple share and that are unique to their relationship.

Take this one couple, for instance. Imgur user doctorpond, with whom Bored Panda got in touch, recently shared some doodles that her husband left for her on the bathroom mirror to cheer her up. Check all of them out below and why not vote and comment on the ones you love the most!

So, Imgurian doctorpond, or Taylor as she has introduced herself to us, shared a collection of photos that she took of her bathroom mirror. “My husband has taken it upon himself to draw doodles on our mirror in the morning to cheer me up from having to go to a job with a boss that screams at me all day,” explained Taylor in her Imgur post.

The 26-year-old from California is very much into Harry Potter, Game Of Thrones, Doctor Who, Disney (she used to work at Disneyland), and a whole bunch of other things, so you can guess what kind of doodles she walked in on every morning.

These included Toothless the Night Fury Dragon, Pickle Rick, the Beast from Beauty and the Beast, Bojack Horseman, Patrick Starfish, Avatar Aang, and a bunch of other memorable and well-known characters.

“I have a tough job with a difficult boss and a 2-hour commute. Add in all the craziness from this year and I was feeling pretty down,” elaborated Taylor. “One morning, I woke up and jumped at something on the mirror, and when I realized what it was, I burst out laughing. It made my day so much better. Ever since then, he’s been doing a doodle for me a few times a week.”

Most of the illustrations also come with their own supportive texts and quotes. Most of them refer to the day of the week and how OP should hang in there, but others spread a message of love and directly quote the characters that are doodled on.

“My favorite has to be the Beast from Beauty and the Beast. It was a two-day doodle because it was so big and took him multiple hours to complete,” she explained.

There was a certain kind of progression with each doodle. It first started off with using just 2 or 3 colors, but it quickly became even more elaborate in what was drawn, the amount of detail, and the color palette.

We asked Taylor how her husband reacted to all the internet fame and attention he got because of the post and whether he’s planning on creating an Instagram for doodling on. She said this:

“He appreciates all the love his doodles are getting! As of now, he’s not planning on creating an Instagram for them. Maybe if I post more of them and people give them love again, I can convince him!”

Speaking of it going viral, the pictures managed to get over 117,000 views with over 3,800 upvotes. In the comments section, people were guessing the reference in one of the pictures—the Ichabod one—and basking in the glory of that +1 internet point promised by OP.

Others praised the husband’s talent and dedication—so much, in fact, that they’d marry the guy. Yet others expressed their support for Taylor because of her difficult boss.

Unfortunately, it turns out that Taylor’s husband keeps a journal of ideas from TV shows and movies that they both love that they weren’t willing to spoil, or even tease, with regard to future doodles, so I guess you’re just gonna have to stay tuned!

“2020 has been a difficult year for all of us. I shared my husband’s doodles in the hopes that it would bring a smile to someone’s face. We could all use a little more happiness right now!” explained Taylor.
