114 Hilarious Reactions To Hurricane Ophelia By Irish People That Prove They’re The Craziest Country Ever
Had enough hurricanes yet this year? Too bad, because Hurricane Ophelia has arrived, and she's giving Ireland the old one-two. Luckily, the Irish are a resilient folk, and their Twitter reactions to this fearsome storm make it crystal clear.
As they say in Ireland, here's the craic; whipping winds are wreaking havoc on the island nation, and have left 3 people dead so far and thousands without power. The whole country is on lockdown, with schools closed, buses cancelled, and even several grocery stores with valuable storm preparation goods (chips, beer, etc.) shuttered in anticipation of what one Twitter has deemed 'The Great Irish Trampoline Migration of 2017.' However, even a natural disaster like Ophelia isn't strong enough to damage the Irish spirit - and, evidently, their collective sense of humor.
Scroll down to see the best tweets to come from both the storm's build-up and commencement, and as always, stay safe and heed all advice from authorities if in the area.

Those are our "law-abiding, RESPONSIBLE" gun owners so obviously shooting at hurricanes is a responsible thing to do.

The real fun comes after the storm. Sorting through the new stuff to keep or try to sell off for money.
Better than your government, nay, your president not knowing you're part of the country lol
If they can't make tea during a power cut, are they even a real Irish mam and gran??
Only 1 each!? You, sir, have underestimated the powers of angry wind and water.
Lol. It's accurate, not only because of Ireland, but because the land between Yorkshire and Edinbugh is apparently a no man's land devoid of settlement...
On the day WW1 started my local gazette headline was 'Drunken Gypsy arrested driving cart'. (Found filling a crack in my wall)

As an Irish descendent in America, I can appreciate the bit about the wooden spoon!!! It made the boat to the USA, as I am a witness!!
Never know when you're going to need a saw for your loaf of bread, though I did have a piece of toast the other day that I saved in case I need sandpaper and am all out.

We have seen a documentary, here in the states, about Buckfast and I have been wanting one, ever since. Why doesn't that company ship worldwide!?? :) :)
