Doesn't happen nearly often enough. Hunting isn't a "sport". If hunters really want to make it a sport, put them on a large piece of fenced in land and let them hunt each other. THEN it will be a sport.

Whilst I am sorry for the wife and children of this person, and offer them sincere condolences for their loss, I can't help but think that this man has finally got his just desserts!! To make a living out of hounding, persecuting and mindlessly killing endangered animals for pleasure and/or profit, has to be one of the most offensive ways of making money!! For me, it is right up there with people trafficking & drug dealing....but the only difference is, that this kind of hunting is still-amazingly!!!- LEGAL!! Shame too, on all the countries and governments that allow this kind of barbarism to continue!!

It's a true shame that the elephant died too - but I can't think of a more fitting end for the fella. Talk about Karma. The Universe always catches up with you in the end. Surely a nominee for the 2017 Darwin Awards!?

Thank the lord, I don't care who you are I don't care how good of a person you are, hunting is not a sport, killing countless of these animals is sick, if you need to hunt for food do, if you hunt for your own pleasure well rot in hell you sick, sick person.

I really like the culture where people are respectful towards animals. They need to eat their meat to live but they don't waste and don't kill just for fun.

This guy had hundreds (thousands probably) of pictures of dead animals, so-called Exotic Creatures, he bragged about killing. And he took people on tours, after they paid him $10,000, so they can shoot a tiger, lion, and such. For some reason, no one here has any sympathy for him. Go, figure.

Would have like a picture of him dead not all the elephants. Sickening people killing for the thrill, cowards, all of them, dam cowards!

It's interesting reading this comment thread, 50 years ago hunting was completely accepted and not controversial in any sense. Today it seems it is so barbaric and cruel that anyone who hunts for pleasure deserves death. Wonder if in 50 years a story about a man killed by eating eating bad pork will provoke a similar reaction. After all pigs are intelligent social animals, capable of comprehending and feeling pain and suffering, just like these elephants, and we don't really need to eat them. Their are many alternatives, we eat them because it gives us pleasure, just like this hunter.
