A good tattoo usually takes a lot of time and effort. And not only the tattooing itself; coming up with the best idea and finding the right artist can be time-consuming as well. For a reason—the last thing you want is something this permanent to be disappointing if not horrifying.
Some people don’t seem to properly think things through. Others might have a very odd sense of beauty, while a few are plain unlucky with how their tattoos turn out. All of these and many more instances can be found on this Facebook group, with a name that says it all—”I'm not tattoo-shaming, but I'm tattoo-sorry you gotta deal with...that”. With roughly 6.4 thousand members, the group is a never-ending source of terrible tattoos, and we have found some of the best (or should I say worst?) examples to prove it. Scroll down to view the disasters.

You don’t have to be a tattoo artist to see how bad some of these tattoos are. Whether it’s the design or the execution to blame, the end results range from surprising to hilarious and horrifying. In some cases, all of the above.
They show that it doesn’t necessarily have to be misspelled to be regertful. History Of Tattoos has revealed that as much as 17% of people regret the ornamentation on their body. The most common reason for feeling this way—it’s a tattoo of someone’s name.
Ooooohhh......oh baby what you doin??
I agree, but NGL, I'd rather give birth to kittens than to human babies XD
Load More Replies...The tattoo artist did a damn good job for...whatever it is
Load More Replies...Oooooh boy, there is a heck of a lot to process here. This takes crazy cat person to an entirely new level.
half peeled bananas....embryonic kittens....is that two tiny hearts at the top? I am very confused. I'm sure there was a lot of thought and meaning in this tattoo for the person it's on. I'd love to know what it is though!
Ok...the kittens I kinda get. But, um....wtf is up with the bananas? And.....why do they have paws!!??!!
The peel paws are the weirdest part of the whole thing! They're so.....uncomfortable.... to look at.
Load More Replies...It's the mottled skin, semi-peeled bananas on either side that bring it all together for me.
Are we sure this is even a real tat question? Mark and not just a concept. I mean where is the guy's legs
If you look at the bottom corners of the pic you can see she/he is wearing black pants. It really does look like a cut off torso though. And that's not even the weirdest part of this tattoo! For me, it's the black kitten(?). It looks a bit like a demon or a black primate of some type. And the banana paws. And the weird bellybutton action going on.
Load More Replies...I could not be more horrified and confused, but whatever, to each their own.
Fantastic work on the artists part, but what in the actual f**k? And the bananas?
I actually really like this one but I am a bit confused as to the purpose of the bananas?? Are they there to feed the oddity baby with the fly head and cat bottom half??
About those (almost) spoiled bananas... And WTF...2 kittens, 1 baby, & 1 blue devil/lizard/dragon??? Someone has a seriously perverse psyche happening here. Wonder if there's a serial killer in the area?
I'm not sure what the bananas are for. Be giving birth to baby cats is just weird. But it is a beautiful tattoo. Just completely weird subject.
I have so many questions and surprisingly they center around the bananas not the weird kittens or the tiny organs.
I'm assuming she loves her cats, and considers them her babies, so that's why she got this tattoo.
I hope I don’t look stupid asking this cause the answer is obvious, but why are their 2 bananas?
Breeding kittens in your four stomachs apparently needs two herats to manage...or something.
It is not four stomachs. You are looking inside the uterus and each kitten is in its own amniotic sac.

The number of inked people is ever changing and so are tattoo trends. Some of the most popular designs that were cool and original back in the day would likely be considered outdated at best at the current time.
Glamour suggests that, when it comes to trends for 2023, minimalist lines and nature motifs are going to be the popular option. It emphasizes the importance of artistic expression through tattoos, and suggests that original pieces, as well as so-called sticker sleeves, and nature-inspired designs will take over the industry.
However, some designs are believed to be able to stand the test of time. According to Tattoo For A Week, parlors often help clients figure out what they might want to get, as they have books brimming with ideas. Some of the all-time most popular images there include dolphins, stars, wings, hearts, and butterflies.
According to Ibis, there are roughly 33,500 tattoo parlors in the US alone that employ just over 44,000 artists. The data also reveals that the industry has been steadily growing in the last five years, which implies that the number of atrocious tattoos might be increasing with time as well. But luckily, nowadays, there are ways to remove them.
What body part is that on? Seriously. More important issues than that monstrosity.
Healthline points out three main ways for removing a tattoo: laser removal, surgical excision, and dermabrasion. The first option includes working with a Q-switched laser, which fades out the tattoo—it sends a pulse of energy, which dissolves the ink by heating it. Laser removal usually requires multiple sessions, but it’s one of the most common and successful ways of getting rid of the design you no longer want on your body.
As the name suggests, surgical removal is a more invasive procedure, during which the tattooed part of the skin is cut out using a scalpel. Dermabrasion also requires removing the skin, but instead of a section, it is removed in layers, allowing the ink to ooze out.
There can be hundreds of reasons for removing a tattoo, and work might be one of them. Depending on the job, some workplaces still have a negative outlook toward them. Statistics show that nearly 76% of Americans believe that they (together with piercings) make it more difficult to get a job. (The majority (61%) of HR specialists agree with being less motivated to hire a person with a visible tattoo when it’s on his face.) However, roughly 40% of employed people (aged 18 to 34) have tattoos nevertheless.
Here's a tattoo I gave myself with a cheap tattoo machine from Amazon
I thought this was “my mom battled cancer for 5 years. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice” kind of tattoo 😳
Roasting myself for this trailer park tattoo I got when I was 13
The resemblance is uncanny…..
The face looks okay…but it sure isn’t Kate Winslet. Maybe the person asked for their face to be substituted?
A friend from highschool's "matching" tattoo with her sister
She tattooed her own ear and fingers and failed miserably
I mean no insult to the man himself but Stevie Wonder could have done a better job than any of these.
Have you seen Stevie Wonder's new house? Neither has he!

Perhaps but it's also a cool way to see where you were at that time in your life
Load More Replies...I'd love if someone did (or linked to) a before & after tattoo series, but like 20-years or more in between. Seeing how even a decent tattoo looks after years of weight changes, wrinkling, tanning, etc.
Yea, like a tiger stretched out over 20 years becomes a giraffe!
Load More Replies...Yeah someone should just give them free laser removal to spare society from this horrors.
A guy got mugged in New York city. The cops asked If the mugger had any visible tattoos. The victim replied "Yes. HE had the word STUPID tattoed on his forehead
People people people don't get a tattoo on a bet or while drunk! And if you get a tattoo check the artists work first honestly 🙄. Also tattoos are definitely something you shouldn't be frugal with
