The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a Christian religion regardless of what other Christian religions might accept. It’s in the name. The definition of Christian: “A Christian is someone who follows the teachings of Jesus Christ and believes in his life, death, and resurrection. Christians also put their faith into action as disciples of Christ.” The members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints definitely fit that description :) not all our beliefs are mainstream, but that’s not important. It's funny you use the Catholic Church. The people that don't consider Mormons to be Christian mostly don't consider either the Catholic or Orthodox churches to be Christian.

I actually don’t know what you’re referring to. I can’t think of any part of my religion that involves a guy walking into a cave to gain knowledge he couldn’t share. Can you find the reference or something?

I'll let you in on a little secret: ALL religions are cults. There is no God. There is no devil. There is no heaven. There is no hell. All religion does is confuse and scare people into obedience. That's it. I was in the catholic cult growing up and got out in 2018 and my life has been so much better since! I live my life without any guilt, shame, or fear of some unseen magical entity. I am truly free! Feels good 😊

In response to theAmericaAmerican: I try to be a decent person like you. An aquaintance told me that I would never get to heaven just being a good person. I had to accept jesus christ as my lord and personal savior. I asked her if a murderer could get into heaven if they accepted jesus christ as their personal lord and saviour, and he said yes. She cannot judge, only god can judge. Well, some of those christians are the most judgy in the world. Nah, I'd rather hang out with the good people

They refuse to understand or cease insults. LDS folks are good people.

You forgot the word some. Even most would be acceptable. But I've known and read of far too many Mormons who have done nasty and evil things to give the entire religion a pass. The same is true of every other religion.
