So agree, most people are so concerned about if they are right and the other people are wrong that they do not see the truth that is right in front of their face, we are all being played by both parties and we have fallen right into their trap. If you have ever heard of the magicians talent of slight of hand, you will know what I am talking about. Keep the people distracted with the, I am right, you are wrong c**p, meanwhile here the politicians are sitting on their a**, not really doing anything at all to make any meaningful change(granted they do throw crumbs every now and again) and getting paid for it while they sit together behind closed doors and laugh about it. Why would these politicians that get rich off of the regular people ever want us to be United?

I think most people would want to be able to vote for someone that represents their values and priorities. Given that both candidates are bankrolled by businesses and people with interests that go squarely against those of many voters, I agree that there's an argument that the US doesn't really have a democracy. But there is still a genuine choice in the sense that Biden and the Democrats have very different policies to the republicans, so a vote does mean something. Had Trump succeeded, US democracy would have become akin to to that of Russia.

@Ruthie - Trump is still threatening democracy in the US. Some Americans never changed their minds on that from the first time he uttered anything undemocratic. Others are more likely to engage in the semantic argument of whether a republic is a democracy. There's no conflict, no waffling. Group 1: our democracy, or our constitutional republic, whichever label you choose, is under attack. Trump has moved, and continues to try to move, the country away from democratic principles. Group 2: The US is a constitutional republic. Some people say that a constitutional republic is not a form of democracy so they say there was never a democracy to begin with. We all know the basic system and it scores no points to claim it isn't a democracy except maybe with those who want "republic" to be used instead of "democracy" because they are "republicans" who have been taught that "democrats" are terrible people by those who are manipulating them.
