William, Polygamy doesn't hurt anyone as long as everyone agrees with it. Bigamy is marrying someone while you're already married, which I guess falls under the same category, though I'm not sure of the legality.

The question is: WHY should marriage between man and man /woman and woman be a sin? How is it different from man and woman? Isn't the entire reason for marriage to spend your life with someone you love? Don't just take what the Bible says as the ultimate truth, nothing is. Question it. If people love each other, shouldn't their gender be meaningless? If both consent, what is really the issue? The bible was written by MAN, not by god. And in a time where most of the population could not read or write. It was used as a tool of power by the church to enforce it's views of that time period.

I believe that the bible was written by man, THROUGH GOD. In any case I wasn't trying to start a war about religions, but I do believe marriage between man and woman is the only correct way to marry. We might not know all the reasons now, but we will eventually. One reason is that we are supposed to multiply the earth and have kids, which can't be done through same-sex marriage. The act of being gay is not a sin in my eyes, (honestly it seems obvious to me, and I hate seeing people believe otherwise...) however acting upon it is. Just as being a psychopath isn't a sin, but acting on it is. Sorry, I know they're harsh comparisons but you get what I'm trying to say :P... Again, not trying to start a war, thanks for your comments, I enjoy reading them, and hope to continue a friendly but thoughtful discussion.

The fact of the matter is that there's no evidence of any god. The best choice for anyone religious, especially those who are LGBT+ is to research the unbiased history and sciences of the world, which contradict that which is written and said about gods, but unlike those gods, have evidence behind them. There's no evidence for a lot of things, but there's many reasons to believe there is a God too. He's not going to shout out to the world that he's there, that would make it obvious, and it's a test of faith. God knows the laws of science better than any human being. So the fact there there will never be scientific evidence he exists doesn't really mean anything.Thanks for sharing that video though (haven't finished it yet, but I'll get there), and I love hearing your own thoughts on the matter. Obviously no one is going to change their mind over an internet discussion XD but I love seeing why people believe the way they do.

What I'm hearing from your comment is you believe that religion causes stress and wars? I understand where you're coming from, but faith's are more than just meaningless wars, they're what give our lives meaning, they explain who we are, and why we're here. Those are two questions science won't answer. Science can't prove God doesn't exist, just as science can never prove God will exist. I do examine everything, everything that I can, I posted this question not because I'm trying to convert others to my faith, but because I'm trying to expand my mind further. No one has ever been able to convince me otherwise that there is no God, and facts aside, it's because I've FELT the truth in my heart. It's not something any facts can explain, and it's the greatest truth I've ever felt.

I've prayed about it, and learned about it, and I know there is a god not because I'm blindly following my religion, but because I've felt his presence, I've felt his love for me personally. I believe it's an experience anyone can have if they want it deep enough. That being said it's not easy for everyone... It took me several years to gain that testimony, but it was and is important to me. I've been struggling for years, just yesterday I attempted suicide... And I'm not one to be overly preachy, I'm just curious about our world and our universe. I'm going to be a marine biologist when I grad school. I believe sciences and the laws of God go hand in hand. There is so much more about this world that we don't know, that God does know. I'm so excited to learn more about the unknown laws of science, and enhance our understanding of the current ones... If I can handle these next couple years that is.....

I'm not trying to convert you to believe there is a God or anything, I hope you'll realize that, I just have found that I've been happiest knowing there's someone who loves me 24/7, and I wish I could share that feeling of peace with the rest of the world. Just because you "felt something", how do you know it is your god? What if it is a lusty demon that is simply tempting you? But all that aside, feelings aren't proof your god exists. You need to provide evidence if you want to convince me that your belief is reasonable. Also, most religions contradict science, so don't give us that nonsense. You are simply spinning your mind round and round in confusion, and that is sad. If you attempted suicide just yesterday, I highly suggest you seek professional help. Your god will not save you from yourself.

Absolutely. All religious people seem to pick and choose what rules they want to follow in their books (frankly sometimes you'd have to considering that the Bible has an ungodly [pun not intended] amount of contradictions), but while the religious right are horrible in large part because they follow their religion it is also harmful that the progressive / leftist / moderate religious people allow these religions to thrive because they choose to believe only in the "good" stuff, like when the New Testament says "love thy neighbour" and the Quran tells you to be charitable, while ignoring that those same books also tell you to "hate your family" and "kill people who won't accept our religion". It's better to accept that religions say horrible things and reject them rather than ignore these serious problems while saying things like "Oh, but that's not what God means TO ME!"

The best choice for anyone religious, especially those who are LGBT+ is to research the unbiased history and sciences of the world, which contradict that which is written and said about gods, but unlike those gods, have evidence behind them. There's no evidence for a lot of things, but there's many reasons to believe there is a God too. He's not going to shout out to the world that he's there, that would make it obvious, and it's a test of faith. God knows the laws of science better than any human being. So the fact there there will never be scientific evidence he exists doesn't really mean anything.Thanks for sharing that video though (haven't finished it yet, but I'll get there), and I love hearing your own thoughts on the matter. Obviously no one is going to change their mind over an internet discussion XD but I love seeing why people believe the way they do.

What I'm hearing from your comment is you believe that religion causes stress and wars? I understand where you're coming from, but faith's are more than just meaningless wars, they're what give our lives meaning, they explain who we are, and why we're here. Those are two questions science won't answer. Science can't prove God doesn't exist, just as science can never prove God will exist. I do examine everything, everything that I can, I posted this question not because I'm trying to convert others to my faith, but because I'm trying to expand my mind further. No one has ever been able to convince me otherwise that there is no God, and facts aside, it's because I've FELT the truth in my heart. It's not something any facts can explain, and it's the greatest truth I've ever felt.

Eh well, I wouldn't say it's the worse thing in the world to have freedom of speech... They're not doing any harm in it... If anything it's a good reason to have us think. I hate when people are against something just for the sake of being against it... I just some of these protestors thought a little bit more than what they did. I feel like some of these protestors don't really think 100% about what their signs actually mean... Oh, well...

I've prayed about it, and learned about it, and I know there is a god not because I'm blindly following my religion, but because I've felt his presence, I've felt his love for me personally. I believe it's an experience anyone can have if they want it deep enough. That being said it's not easy for everyone... It took me several years to gain that testimony, but it was and is important to me. I've been struggling for years, just yesterday I attempted suicide... And I'm not one to be overly preachy, I'm just curious about our world and our universe. I'm going to be a marine biologist when I grad school. I believe sciences and the laws of God go hand in hand. There is so much more about this world that we don't know, that God does know. I'm so excited to learn more about the unknown laws of science, and enhance our understanding of the current ones... If I can handle these next couple years that is.....

I hope you know I wasn't one to down vote your comment, I love when people ask that, and I'm honestly annoyed that people were down voting it because it's such a good question to have. I'm not trying to convert you to believe there is a God or anything, I hope you'll realize that, I just have found that I've been happiest knowing there's someone who loves me 24/7, and I wish I could share that feeling of peace with the rest of the world. Although I know that online internet discussions won't change that ;) Most importantly, I'm just looking for a friendly thoughtful discussion, I'm not trying to convert or change anyones beliefs.

Just because you "felt something", how do you know it is your god? What if it is a lusty demon that is simply tempting you? But all that aside, feelings aren't proof your god exists. You need to provide evidence if you want to convince me that your belief is reasonable. Also, most religions contradict science, so don't give us that nonsense. You are simply spinning your mind round and round in confusion, and that is sad. If you attempted suicide just yesterday, I highly suggest you seek professional help. Your god will not save you from yourself.

Absolutely. All religious people seem to pick and choose what rules they want to follow in their books (frankly sometimes you'd have to considering that the Bible has an ungodly [pun not intended] amount of contradictions), but while the religious right are horrible in large part because they follow their religion it is also harmful that the progressive / leftist / moderate religious people allow these religions to thrive because they choose to believe only in the "good" stuff, like when the New Testament says "love thy neighbour" and the Quran tells you to be charitable, while ignoring that those same books also tell you to "hate your family" and "kill people who won't accept our religion". It's better to accept that religions say horrible things and reject them rather than ignore these serious problems while saying things like "Oh, but that's not what God means TO ME!"

It's easy to do this in the U.S "NOW" because of years of gay people fighting for their rights have lead society to this point, it was not always the case, it's the same fight that gay people in the Islamic world need to make themselves and it starts by getting the message across that religion belongs at home not in politics.

But little kids don't really understand the sex references (many animations are full of them and you only start getting them as a teen and later on). And the rest of it, as with everything in the world, i believe it's parents' job to explain to the kid what's going on and why
