People talk a lot of smack on the internet, and when that happens on social media, then the rest of the world can be fortunate enough to be there to see the glory unfold. From devastating clapbacks to good-natured puns and every other type of delightfully witty reply, a Twitter account called Gems Of Replies is there to document it all - for our benefit.

You know that sensation so many of us get hours after a conversation or argument when we realize - “damn, I should’ve said [X] instead…”? Scrolling through this account is basically the opposite of that as you get to see every moment of glory where someone said exactly what needed to be said.

Aww, it's like a family cremation (please don't come after me, I just have a dark sense of humour - I don't even eat meat)

I've not tried it with Netflix but I have some end of the month subscriptions and they normally take the payments for February on 1st March :)

We do use 100% of our brains, just not all areas at the same time. If everything were ‘working’ at the same time we would die immediately.

Well, he didn’t. Calendar month. In the case mentioned, that could expire in two days !

This doesn't work, of course. And even if it did, you would be getting a subscription for 3 years and one month in the best case, not 4 years...

Welp I don't use anywhere near 100% of my brain but next year is a leap year so you have to wait until January 2025 and you would only get 3 years and a month of free service. But the idea is genius.

That is actually a myth, or misconception. We do use 100% of our brain, just not all at the same time. Every part of the brain has a function, so depending on what one is doing, one will only utilize those parts of the brain needed for the current activity.

OMG! I wonder if that would work 🤣 honestly I thought I'd found a loophole with Amazon Music Unlimited free trial! Had a payment come out my bank 3 days ago for this, only problem is I didn't order it! Contacted them yesterday to query it and was asked if I'd taken out a free trial of Amazon music in December 2018!!

Is it a free month trial or a free 30 day trial??? I have had Netflix for so long I don't remember.

My life was going pretty well. But then suddenly I got pushed through a tiny cave. It was cold and bright on the other side. That's the day all my problems started

I think it depends on the context. My native language is almost dead because people gave English too much priority. Now only villagers and old, established families can speak purely in our language, everyone else tries to talk in as much English as possible.
