Hi Pandas! Is My Sister Ta For Being A Feminist!

So My sister F (13) Is in school and her teacher is talking about women’s suffrage, and as an added bonus on this topic he says “I will not be spending as much time on this topic because I believe It is not quite true and women never should have gotten the right to vote” First off, Ew. Second off He is the most bald man I have ever seen, he can’t be talking about women. My Sister rightfully stands up for every girl in the class and goes “Thats stupid” And When I tell you I audibly gasped at the video someone took of the whole encounter I mean full *GASP* Because she said it loud. SHe soon starts to go on this whole rant “See it’s obvious that you think women aren’t important, because you can’t pull any, but you know how important they are, especially to you? You still live in your mothers basement, I’d love to see the way she reacts to you saying that, And by saying that women’s rights aren’t important and that women never got the right to vote is absolutely not okay especially considering you wouldn’t have gotten the right to vote if your people hadn’t worked for it too” (This teacher was a black man) “It is not okay for you to undermine the achievements of women” She finishes and gets kicked out of the class for an undetermined suspension. I think she went a little far, but thats not okay. Right?

She was not TA for being offended about how he treats suffrage and is not at fault for that. HOWEVER she was being rude and dismissive mutually and the kicker was that to prove her point she took an offensive racial stance concerning the teacher which was absolutely too far. Being offensive to Bigoted people only increases their faith in their bigoted belief as they assume that based on your reaction they are proven right, which only makes matters worse. So NTA for standing up to her teachers offensive comments but she’s TA for being offensive in turn. A phrase that represents this is “the burning animal that runs to the fire only fuels the fire and burns themselves” I hope you found my take on this helpful.
