"Kiki's delivery service" is a movie I love more than any other, it is a truly beautiful thing... Not only is it an incredible piece of animation ( the detail in the flying scenes over the town are breathtaking..) but the story is just so beautiful... There's no great narrative, no love story, no conflict, just a simple beautiful story of a young witch making her way in the world. Kiki is the ultimate heroine, she's no princess, no great beauty in a fine frock waiting for her prince to come, just a simple girl dealing with day to day life. Not that I'm ever likely to have kids, but if I had a daughter ( she'd be called Kiki, definitely!) It's the one film I'd want her to love. Kiki is the ultimate role model, strong, resilient (despite all her self doubt), able to follow her own path. It truly is a beautiful thing, I love it so much ( now, I have tears running down my face just thinking about it!)

Miyazaki is a wonderful person, and his movies are amazing. Kiki's delevery service is indeed a very good one, she's so strong and adorable!

For me, it's Monster.Inc. It was the first one we watched together, with my family, the first DVD we bought. And nowadays, we still sometimes slip sentences from the movie in our conversations....

A lot of movies hold a special place in my heart. For example, Fly Away Home is a heartwarming movie, and a part of my childhood.
