Music is the divine way to tell beautiful, poetic things to the heart

― Pablo Casals

Music is the language of emotions. We all may have certain songs that we most relate to, the ones that bring us lots of memories; either pleasant or sorrowful, the ones that make us cry.

But music also brings us solace. Lets share the songs that we cry to and have a little bit of solace.

Canon in D. I’d heard Memories by Maroon Five first, so Canon in D always brings me to tears thinking of all the wonderful people I’ve lost. Amazing price of music

The Night We Met by Lord Huron. It just sounds so emotional and like it came from a very personal place.

Crybaby by HIGEDANDISM. I can relate to it, because I have been beaten mentally by school peers over and over again, and since it’s summer, I now realize that I also relate to it.

How Can I Help You Say Goodbye by Patty Loveless. I don’t know why, I have no personal experience with any of the situations in the verses, but something about her vocals and raw emotion just cuts my soul into tiny pieces

“Rise up” by Andra Day. The video depicts a wife taking care of her military husband who was rendered paralyzed. It shows realistically their trials, tribulations and victories together. It came out about the same time my own husband was recovering from back surgery and his own paralysis. We had our own trials, tribulations and victories but still “rise up” every day.

Mine is 'Missing Home' by Flora Cash. Not because I miss home literally , but because whenever I listen to this song, I remember I have no home to miss.

I grew up being severely abused (Mentally & emotionally) by my father and most of his side of the family. I have an array of mental health issues as a result. I live abroad now and am trying to cut off contact with them. I'm struggling and thriving, but oh how I wish I had a family to rely on, to share my happiness and sorrows, to feel belonged, to feel welcomed.

I cannot live here forever and I cannot Imagine of going back .

I lose it when these lines comes along in the song: "What does it take to be happy? What does it take to be satisfied?"
