I personally have autophobia, atychiphobia, claustrophobia, athazagoraphobia, vermiphobia, and trypophobia.

Coulrophobia, fear of clowns. I found out at the circus, and I now go to therapy
Growing up in a Mexican household I would have to say Chanclaphobia. Or fear of flying chanclas.
Heights, drowning in the sea and ladders. And I work on a boat where the only access is by ladder. I need a new job
I have an irrational fear of grasshoppers. Even if someone is just talking about them, the hair on the back of my neck stands up and I get the heebbie jeebbies.
Claustrofobia ,fear of heights ,fear of fur or furry feeling things, fear of large crowds and I can't get on an escalator without help. Just your average neurotic.
I'm afraid of being trapped, specifically, if something is really bad as if whatever it is I'm in was on fire, sinking, or free falling. Also hippos.
Thalassophobia- fear of deep water and hamaxophobia- fear of driving. I have had my learners permit for about 7 years now coz I am terrified of driving. It’s not the other people on the road that scares me, it is the fact that I am in control of something so big that one mistake can kill someone. My psychologist said it is the lack of confidence in my abilities. I need to find a way to get over my fear soon coz I want to go and study but where the courses are held that I want to do is a 2 hour bus ride away.
I'm terrified of cicadas. Mice, rats, spiders, snakes? Love them all. But cicadas? Big nope from me. Even their shells freak me out. A 7 year hatching and a 13 year hatching coincided one year when I was in high school. They were everywhere! The buzzing. Those creepy red eyes. I almost had a nervous breakdown that summer.
I'm slightly germaphobic and absolutely hate touching things that have been touched by other people and really hate people touching my hands (even like a high five) so yeah
Honestly, I've never really been afraid of much. I've jumped off a 150 foot bridge (bungie jumping), ridden the tallest roller coaster in the US and stood on the outdoor observation decks of some seriously high buildings.
But now?
Total germaphobe. Total anthrophobe. Neophyte claustrophobe.
All because of stupid COVID19.
I wash my hands compulsively. I stay as far away from other people as possible and avoid going out unless absolutely necessary. Enclosed spaces are a big no-no...if it's not a cavernous supermarket, I'm not going inside.
IDK why but there's something about Jeff The Killer that I just don't like. He's creepy.
I used to be afraid of fire. So I became a volunteer firefighter. Don't fear it respect it and use it carefully.
Escalaphobia
Its pretty stupid because it means im scared of escalators.
Thlassaphobia, arachnophobia, acrophobia, nyctophobia, monophobia, and glassophobia
Butterflies and Moths. Oh god do they terrify me, with those flapping wings of theirs.
Arachnophobia (fear of spiders) and Phone phobia are the two I am certain of.
I have somehow arranged myself with the first and am able to handle spiders up to a certain size, but I do *really* fear and hate making and taking phone calls and thus am really, really careful whom I give my number. Having to do telephone interviews is my absolute horror.
Arachnophobia is one of my fears. Yes, they are scary. Though I have worked on getting close enough to kill a spider, They are still FREAKY.
SPIDERS!!!! Whenever I see a spider and it lands on me i scream like a little girl. My missus had me trapped in the bedroom once for almost an hour when I asked her to get rid of it from the bathroom!
I thought it was Trypophobia but now only REALLY bad pictures gross me out.
Necrophobia, specifically animals. If it's a human body, like in the forensic textbooks, I'm fine. But if it's the body of an animal, specifically roadkill, I get disgusted, angry at whoever did this, and sad for the poor creature.
I have SEVERE arachnophobia, slight scopophobia depending on the enviorment, athazagoraphobia, ect ect.
On arachnophobia, I am still afraid to enter a room in the house, as there was once a big spider in there. Despite being removed and put in the shed, I have not gone in there in a good few months, unfortunately the ice cream is there, so may I rest in peace. If I see a spider big enough, I will not enter that room until I can confirm no spiders are there. Long legs too. One jump scaring is enough to trigger a breakdown and cause me to tremble and cry. On scopophobia, I used to become alert of the sounds in my area, and become sensitive, thinking someone was there to kill me. I still have this fear sometimes.
Clothing tags. I have no idea why. Touch one, and you can't touch me or any items I use. You must wash your hands after accidental contact to avoid the "Tagitus." Im so weird T-T
Abibliophobia - the fear of running out of things to read. I'm a huge bookworm and I think about this alot
Acrophobia, Claustrophobia, trypophobia. I'd go in full detail about how I found it but that would be an eyesore to read 😅
Philophobia: fear of becoming emotionally connected with another person.
monophobia or arachnophobia.
I actually love spiders, but when they're big, and near or in my house, you'll never see it alive again.
Claustrophobia. I once tried playing hide and seek in a cupboard when i was little now I'm forever scarred
I have Thanatophobia, Acrophobia, Katsaridaphobia, Lepidopterophobia, Thantophobia, and Autophobia. Common ones, if you ask me.
Maybe Haphephobia? (fear of touch) There isn't a particular reason why no traumatic experiences or anything. I will visibly flinch if I get touched unexpectedly, like a tap on the shoulder for example, and have a hard time breathing.
I know my fear of heights is called acrophobia. What I don't know is how I call my fears of shark, the dark, ghosts or
cockroach.
Lets see... Lilapsophobia (fear of tornadoes), Emetophobia (fear of vomiting/seeing others vomit), and Aquaphobia (fear of swimming) are my most prevalent ones.
emetophobia, fear of vomit & vomiting. i got it when i was 7 years old and threw up 4 times because of stomach virus. it's been over a decade and i'd still do anything to avoid my phobia. i think about it every day and it's taken over my life.
Tryptophobia, fear of irregular holes/patterns. Think lotus flower seed pod..
The fear of pain and the fear of being given attention by strangers. Also stage fright. And the fear of fear. And needles.
Trypophobia ,Fear of Holes
(People say it's fake, look it up and do your research dum dums)
Claustrophobia, fear of heights, and I'm TERRIFIED of spider/centipedes/bees
alot of people including my parents dont know this, but i got scopophobia and philophobia, and i hate it! but its not tht hard... im fine with girls staring but not men, i hesitate and get mad when they stare with no good reason... and i hate love and fear love between me and someone because i might hurt them... so i like staying alone and away from people... at least i want to, my friends wont let me go xD
For some reason I really really hate it when a moth flies around me. I think it's because I can hear it flying, and I get the shivers and it feels as though the hair on the back of my neck is standing straight up.
It isn't diagnosed but I have a fear of sick or people being sick or people talking about it.
Sherbet...i just have to think about it and my jaw hurts, my neck tingles and all hairs on my arms stand up.
I'm terrified of cicadas and grasshoppers, as well as dying. The thought of losing consciousness and not knowing where or if it'll come back is horrifying. Ah yes, and hand trauma. Broken hands/fingers freak me out.
gephyrophobi fear of driving over bridges. 'Flat' bridges (just a roadway over water) are fine but bridges that have an arch freak me the f*%k out!
The dark. I know I shouldn't be scared, but I am! I just don't know what's going on!
Trypophobia
an irrational or disproportionate feeling of discomfort or revulsion at the sight of clustered holes or bumps, as seen in sponges, honeycombs, certain seed pods, soap bubbles, and bubbles in batter
its not so much a fear, its really more of an extreme discomfort
if you know someone who is tryphohobic, DO NOT make fun of them and DO NOT try to trigger them
Basophobia (fear of falling) --> I'm not scared of heights but I am super afraid of falling.
Monophobia (fear of being alone)
Athazagoraphobia (fear of being forgotten)
I'm afraid of being touched by a man, but I don't know if there is a phobia word for it. There is fear of men and fear of touch, but I guess I'm more terrified of being judged by men? It's complicated...
Afraid or creeped out by slugs, especially the giant slimy yellow banana slugs in the temperate rain forests of Nor Cal. Shudders ick.
I have this irrational fear of ladders. I'm not scared of heights - I can climb trees, stand on chairs, go on ferris wheels and fly in planes just fine. But ladders really terrify me. I get uneasy just being in the same room with one.
Ornithophobia - fear of birds.
3 years old and my cousin thought it would be funny to lock me in the chicken coop......blind, evil rooster found me and pecked me into a corner. CANNOT stand any type of bird to this day.
Mine are weird ones so buckle on in 1: Xenophobia A.K.A The fear of the unknown. I feel panic when I don’t know what is happening. Also if I can’t see something that I’m touching. 2. Automatonophobia A.K.A fear of humanoid objects that aren’t actually human such as mannequins, animatronics, and ventriloquist dummies. 3. Submechanaphobia A.K.A the fear of submerged man made objects... just thinking about these things are enough to give me the willies
Im absolutely terrified of snails. I cant see them, I cant touch a picture of them or even See them moving. Once I stepped on a piece of an orange wich fell from the table , barefoot. Hell broke loose, besäuselt I thought its a snail. I screamed like somebody is murdering me. I didnt know, that I react so damn hysterical. Today, I always get goosebumps in the neck, when talking about snails. I hatte autumn by the way....
Whenever I’m alone in the dark or it’s really quiet and dark I start getting super scared. I have a nightlight, but my excuse is that I need it so I can see, as it’s pitch-black in my room at night. This gets even worse if I’m thinking about something that frightened me before. Once I had a brief thought about Slenderman and fifteen minutes later if I closed my eyes I’d hear a voice whispering to me or feel a presence looking over me.
Thanatophobia, fear of your own death. Been my major phobia ever since I can remember.
Arachnophobia. I am deathly afraid of spiders. If I see a spider in a room, I won't go back in there until I'm sure that it's gone (and even then, I'll approach it with caution).
I have monophobia, the fear of being alone. I often like to surround myself with loved ones and the people I care about. But covid-19 has changed me, and now I prefer being alone 24/7 :(
I used to have a fear of jeans when I was younger, because they were too stiff and prevented me from climbing onto chairs. That's behind me now. :(((((
Didn't know I had a fear of needles until I was 16. Growing up, I always cried when I had to have a blood test or an injection, but I always thought it was because I was a child. Then when I was 16 I had to have a blood test and had a massive melt down in the reception.
This is awfully common, but I have severe arachnophobia. I can't tolerate seeing any size or type of spiders; fictional or not, venomous or not, harmful or not, I fear any structure or being that resembles a spider. Even seeing cobwebs is enough to petrify me. Sometimes it messes with my appetite heavily, and I won't go into details of that.
I have learned that phobias exist for a variety of reasons, or so it is theorised. Some say it rises from our primitive survivalist instincts, some say it's inherited genetically. I'd very much like to know /why/ I fear spiders to this extent. My family members dislike pests, but none of them is arachnophobic.
As long as I could remember, I've been afraid of spiders. Maybe my first exposures to them was this nursery rhyme called Miss Muffet, but again... That would be irrational. ;D
Equally snakes, clowns, and being buried alive. In no particular order. And I haven't bothered to look up what those fears are called. Could that be another phobia?
I'm 15. So far I have discovered that I have basophobia (fear of falling), atychiphobia (fear of failure), and a very odd one, Hnirshunphobia the fear of dirty dishes. Or, in my case, trying to clean those dishes. This kinda mixes with my atychiphobia where my fear stems from being scared that I'll do a bad job doing the dishes and get yelled at by my parents. Just looking at those disgusting things makes me immediately want to jump into my bed and hide under the covers. This fear has caused me to break 3 glasses, 2 plates, 1 chopstick, and have about 12 panic attacks. Yayyyyyyy....
Arachnophobia, fear of spiders. Even seeing them in images kills me inside. Sorry spiders, I just can’t. I live in Australia, and it’s common to see them. But they are seriously terrifying.
Katsaridaphobia, fear of cockroaches. I will explain my story. I once was using the bathroom in my grandparent’s home. Out from the roof, while I was on the toilet, a cockroach suddenly fell. That was not funny.
Trypanophobia, fear of needles. They’re just so sharp and scary. I’m fine looking at them in a super far distance. It just, is so damn scary when I get a shot. It also hurts for a few days.
Hippopotomonstrosiquipdaliaphobicphobia.
I am afraid of people afraid of long words
Also, who ever invented hippopotomonstrosiquipdaliaphobia was obviously mean; people afraid of long words had to say a long word to describe their phobia
I couldn’t find the actually phobia for this, only social anxiety, which I do not have, so fear of interacting with other people I don’t know.
Acrophobia, arachnophobia, and nyctophobia. And yes, nyctophobia is fear of the dark. I'm not afraid of the dark, I'm afraid of what might be in it.
I have claustrophobia (which is not the fear of small spaces - it is the fear of suffocation and it is often triggered by small spaces, but not wanting to walk into a closet is not claustrophobia). I am in therapy for it. I also have a fear of driving down a mountain or steep grade, losing control of the car and careening off the embankment.
Lepidopterophobia . As a school librarian, I will admit we have the worst collection of butterfly books b/c I won't buy them!!
Trypophobia. I hadn't hear of that before, but I have seen the pictures online of people with small holes in their skin. I couldn't look away but it sickened me at the same time. I don't mind other small holes, so for me it's just on skin.
I also have claustrophobia, thanatophobia, and patho/latrophobia. The fear of being confined in a small space, the fear of dying, and the fear[s] of doctors/disease, ever since my first 'test'. Thanks, covid-19.
Mail. I'm afraid of opening my mail. I have piles, bags, drawers, boxes. I love autopay! I have a strong aversion to cooking grease--spills, splatters, and on dishes/cookware.
I have the fear of the darkness. well, more like what stuff could be in the darkness. I also have the fear of falling from heights.
Alright person- STOP DOWNVOTING SUBMISSIONS! Fears are fears and who are you to judge what other people think?
Upvote. Don't know why anyone would even come to this post, if they don't want to read it.
Load More Replies...I have kosmemophobia - very, very badly. A woman who wants to faint when she sees jewelry? Yes! People don’t understand, but I’ve found lots of others with it thanks to the internet. https://www.refinery29.com/en-us/2015/07/90198/kosmemophobia-jewelry-fear
Taphophobia - fear of being burried alive. I'm scared to being trapped under a building or underground. I don't feel save in subway, in tunnels, basement or cave
