What physical quirk or trait leads people to assume things about you that are in fact not true?

My neutral/relaxed facial expression doesn‘t appear neutral and relaxed, but angry and annoyed. I don't really like the term, but yeah, I have a resting b***h face. It doesn't help that I'm also tall with broad shoulders.... People's first impression is that I'm intimidating, arrogant and unapproachable, and it‘s apparently hard to believe that I have social anxiety.
My former boss told me that a colleague once said "Birgit M is a very nice person but it takes a year to figure that out“.
Aww, I wish we could abolish this term, resting b*tch face! Seriously, who says women have to be constantly smiling and sh*tting rainbows!! (What's the male equivalent anyway? Resting a*hole face? Lol) ... BTW, can you give me a few cm, I wanna be tall and cool and sporty and badass! 😁
People think that because I'm a shorter girl, I'm not interested in psychical stuff. I have a 2nd degree black belt in taekwondo, and I'm not going to lie, it feels absolutely awesome when I'm doing my self-defense moves (we get a set for each belt) and the other person is on the ground.
I look like one of those guys that are short with usually outgoing personalities (I'm sure you know what I'm talking about) except I am not at all outgoing and social, and i have a slight RBF
Sounds a bit like a teacher of mine tbh. I think I'm taller than him which is odd cause I'm short
I'm impaired in ways that are not really visible so people just seem to assume I can do certain things that I ... just physically can't. Which can be really frustrating. To make matters worse, apparently I look "way younger" (?) than I am, and as we alllll know young people can't be disabled or ill, so... /s
Also, something about my appearance makes people assume I'm straight? Not entirely sure how.
TL;DR: my... everything. My entire body.
Just because I have cool hair and care about my appearance doesn't mean I am interested I'm the same gender. Am I not allowed to just exist the way I want?
Being blonde with blue eyes and dressing feminine. Honestly, this stereotype works in favor 90% of the time actually.
Too tall, too big, too scary......
Just an absurd meat mecha I'm forced to pilot through this world...
It's not me, just a walking fortress in which to hide....
Because of age, I have a resting-mean-face. So I try to smile a lot, which makes me look vacuous. Only when I talk, do people realize I’m actually reasonably nice and do have something to add to a conversation.
Same tbh. Whenever I smile it looks like I'm about to slap a child when in fact I love children and rarely slap them
I have broad shoulders and short legs leading people to believe that I’m not an athlete. But I have played lacrosse for 8 years and am a lot stronger than people realize. They assume I’m just a small, weak person
Probably my smile. I'd describe it as smug or mean and really what you'd expect from a generic high school bully. I'm not gonna go as far as to say it's entirely incorrect but I don't believe that I'm incredibly s****y, just normal teen boy s****y. Beyond that I really look very average. It's nice tbh
I didn't know that you were a teen, I figured you were an adult, it's cool to see another teen on here.
The fact that Im lean. People usually tend to pick on folks like me, but were honestly very surprised when I squatted 240 pounds.
God I wish. I'm built like a stick and all of my muscles are in my legs (ultimate Frisbee) so I'm very fast but I have no strength in my arms
My smile. People always think cause I have a happy smile on that I’m not hurting on the inside. Oh and that my pain tolerance is really high, so people assume I can’t die apparently.
I am a young white female. I'm expected to be a bit of a Taylor Swift fan, do average in school, sports either cheerleading, volleyball, or field hockey (if any sports at all). At least, that's what most of the basic white girls I see are like (sorry for the stereotyping, but stereotypes are there for a reason). In reality, I listen to scream rap, phonk, and country (the wackest music combo ever), have above average grades, ride horses, and do several different martial arts. I am a varsity wrestler at my school with a hot winning streak. I'm the only white person in my friend group and one of two females in the group of 9. I'm not nice either. Im a huge a*****e. So, if you think I'm a sweet normal white girl, sorry to mislead you
I have long legs and do track... BUT i do NOT have the endurance for any of them long races lol
Just because my hair is dyed doesnt mean im interested in the same gender
I look like someone who would love to chat and talk all day... NO, no i dont
The way i dress (messy hair, baggy clothes, sweat pants, slip on shoes) does NOT mean im dumb... in fact im pretty smart for the way i act in class
:3🍩
Tbh you sound a bit like me. I'm a dumbass and I do stupid s**t all the time but I'm actually very booksmart and I get great grades (if I try)
People think I'm okay because it's hard to show facial expressions, so the only people that know I'm mentally unstable, are my friends, because only they know what my panic attacks, flashback episodes, and manic episodes look like. even my parents dont know.
The fact that i'm a girl so no one really wold know that I'm a Yellow Belt in Tea Kwon DO
Physical trait about me that is misleading or sometimes makes people draw conclusions about me is that I'm a RH amputee. (Lost from a defective roman candle when i was 9yrs old, I'm 48 now) I mean i get it, its pretty valid to think I couldn't tie my own shoes amongst other everyday tasks but the truth is I CAN tie them and excel at most everything.
dude this is not your fault but i just went trying to find a roman candle bone (i thought that was a bone for some reason) and now im amazed i didnt realize its from the firework
Load More Replies...Not very visible but my very annoying scratches on my arms and legs that make it look I sh which I technically do but I don’t say I do so therefor I don’t
just letting you know i'm here for you if you need anything
