The Umbrella Academy
On one day in 1989, 43 infants are inexplicably born to random, unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy the day before. Seven are adopted by billionaire industrialist Sir Reginald Hargreeves, who creates the Umbrella Academy and prepares his "children" to save the world. In their teenage years, though, the family fractures and the team disbands. Fast forward to the present time, when the six surviving members of the clan reunite upon the news of Hargreeves' passing. They work together to solve a mystery surrounding their father's death, but divergent personalities and abilities again pull the estranged family apart, and a global apocalypse is another imminent threat. The series is based on a collection of comics and graphic novels created and written by My Chemical Romance lead singer Gerard Way.
I love this show! And they film a lot of it in my hometown so it's fun to see places I recognize on the small screen!
I really love Julie and The Phantoms! (JATP). It may be a bit more on the childish side, but it has a good message.
Julie is a teenage girl who finds her passion for music and life with the help of a high-concept band of teen boys (The Phantoms) who have been dead for 25 years. Julie, in turn, helps them become the band they were never able to be.
Brooklyn 99
A very fun comedy series about a police department in USA.
Derry Girls.
A group of Irish Catholic girls (and a wee English fella) getting into shenanigans in Derry, Northern Ireland, in the 1990's. The girls are shallow as only teenagers can be and they curse like sailors.
I love the show Gilmore Girls, and Avatar the Last Airbender.
Avatar is centered around the journey of 12-year-old Aang, the current Avatar and last survivor of his nation, the Air Nomads, along with his friends Sokka, Katara, and later Toph, as they strive to end the Fire Nation's war against the other nations of the world. It also follows the story of Zuko—the exiled prince of the Fire Nation, seeking to restore his lost honor by capturing Aang, accompanied by his wise uncle Iroh—and later, that of his ambitious sister Azula.
Gilmore Girls's main focus is on the relationship between single mother Lorelai Gilmore and her daughter Rory, who live in Stars Hollow, Connecticut, a small fictional town filled with colorful characters. The series explores issues of family, romance, education, friendship, disappointment, and ambition, along with generational divides and social class. The latter themes manifest through Lorelai's difficult relationship with her high society parents, Emily and Richard, and Rory's experiences at the elite private high school Chilton and later on at Yale University.
Avatar the Last Airbender, Legends of Korra, The Unlisted, Get Even and The Letter for the King
Creeped out. It’s a show about random “creepy” things happening to kids. It’s not that scary but it’s fun to see what they come up with
Love, Death, and Robots. Its a great show with great short self contained episodes. They run the gambit from super scary and creepy to funny and light hearted. Love the show and I am hoping that Netflix makes a second season.
SHE-RA!!
It's a re-make of the 80's show, with more inclusive body types, ethnicities, races, and sexualities.
I swear I've watched it a million times!!
El Ministerio del Tiempo (The Ministry of Time)
A spanish fantasy series about a secret government department that deals with time travel. Its awesome but it has a ton of references to spanish history and culture, so I guess that its complicated to follow for foreigners.
Lucifer!
It's about the fallen angel who got bored with administering Hell and takes an extended vacation in LA. There he gets therapy (the point of which he always misses) and helps a homicide detective (who he's fallen in love with) solve murders. There's also Lucifer's stalwart brother, they joyously hyper forensic scientist, the detective's flawed ex-husband, Cain, Eve, and other fun characters.
I love Lucifer omg yasssssss!!!! The hot yoga. And the gay security guard were gold!!!
Neither is a NetFlix show but they regularly run on NetFlix. The Blacklist & Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Transformers: War for Cybertron. Can NOT wait for Kingdom!
I like to watch
NCIS
It stands for naval criminal investigation something
That's what its about, the whole story line characters and everything are made up btw.
And Gilmore girls
Its about a mom and daughter living together in a small town with drama its a cute show!
money heist, gilmore girls, stranger things, b99, and the umbrella academy (of course). none of these shows has ever disappointed me :D
Love is blind
If your a helpless romantic with nothing better to do (and like c’mon you don’t) go freaking watch and and come back and tell why Lauren and Cameron are the greatest thing since sliced bread
Archer. Utter debauched, highly tongue in cheek, adult animation. International spy storyline, told in a very intelligent and witty fashion. One of those series you can watch over and over and always catch something new.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
It’s a comedy about a girl who is in New York City after being kidnapped in a bunker for 15 years. I know it doesn’t sound like that’d make a good comedy, but it’s a goofy show that always makes me happy.
Give it a try !
Schitt's Creek, Brooklyn 99 and The Good Place.
Gilmore Girls- about a mother and a daughter. The daughter was born when the mum was 16, and they grow up in a little town called Stars Hollow. It's really well made, and I reccomend it for anyone!
The manhunt series. It’s all about the real stories of catching criminals like the Unabomber and the Olympics Bomber, but it feels like a TV show rather than a documentary. And for the fellow Umbrella Academy fans out there, Cameron Britton (Hazel) does an AMAZING job acting on the show. He literally is such an underrated actor. The show is really thrilling and is filled with a lot of twists, but it’s crazy when you remember that it actually happened.
