This may be an unpopular opinion, but I don’t like mashed potatoes. I wish I could because they smell so good

    Bratkartoffel mit speck und eier.
Sliced and backed potatoes, with bacon, onions and eggs. Clean simple and nothing more. But so good.
    Maybe with some honey gurken.

    Rognons A La Moutarde

    Ingredients:

    12 Lamb Kidneys
    Flour
    1 shallot, finely chopped
    1 oz (30g) butter
    1 tbsp sunflower oil
5 fl oz (150 ml) white wine
    2 tbsp brandy
4 tbsp creme fraiche or double cream
2 tbsp Dijon or coarse grained mustard
A little chopped chervil or parsley
    Seasoning

    Method:

Cut the kidneys in half and snip out the white cores. Dust with flour. Sauté the shallot gently in the butter and oil in a wide frying pan until tender. Raise the heat and add the kidneys. Fry briskly for about 3 minutes. Pour off excess fat, then tip in the brandy and reduce. Then pour in the wine and also reduce. Stir in the cream, mustard and a little seasoning. Stir in the chervil or parsley. Serve immediately with basmati rice.

I too prefer dinner foods but depends on the season. In summer my favourite is Tacos and my fav in winter is a toss up between a roast with Yorkshire pudding, veggies, garlic butter roast potatoes and gravy or my own cottage pie.

Favorite home cooked meal would be chicken and sausage gumbo served over white rice! After years of trial and error, I have perfected my recipe, and now my husband won't eat it from anywhere else! :) Runner up is my mom's chicken and rice casserole dish.

Favorite restaurant meal would be Olive Garden's chicken scampi and zuppa tuscana soup. (I know, I know...Olive Garden...eww)

...fine. CHILI ALL THE WAY! My mom makes the best chili ever. It takes the whole day to cook, but it’s thick and hot and warms you up with assorted vegetables, beans, and broth.

GREAT. NOW I’M HUNGRY FOR DINNER AT 8:13 AM. Lol.

English Panda here. Where I'm from we ear breakfast, dinner and tea. It took me far too long to realise dinner food means tea time.
Steak and ale pie, mash and veg or a full on Sunday roast, with sprouts and Yorkshire pudding.

I’m sorry I just had too lol
My favorite thing to have for dinner is something my mom makes that we call Olive Bread. It’s some kind of cheese blend spread on a slice of French Bread, topped with green and black olives and then baked. It is SOOOO mouthwatering-ly delicious I cannot even describe it!!! 🥖🧀🍐 (couldn’t find an olive. A pear will do)

I am usually too lazy to cook myself dinner, so something INSTANT. Otherwise, my absolute fav dinner food would be a crunchy, cheesy quesadilla. Not just ant quesadilla, MY QUESADILLA, with a plot-twist of some canned tuna, chili sauce, and some seasoning!

My mom seriously makes the best egg rolls and saute ever. It's better than any I have at restaurants, or local events, or at parties. I'm always so sad when I eat an egg roll and it's just so sad and lame and not delicious. My mom also makes like incredible fried chicken and breadsticks and I'm going to be like a food snob when I'm out on my own cause I was raised on like food too good to sacrifice to the gods sorry Zeus

Depends on season, winter probably a roast lamb or mutton (slow cooked of course) with mint sauce.
Summer is usually some salad from the garden, mix in yur chicken, herbs, dressing etc. Creamy bacon and chicken one yesterday in lettuce cups, tomorrow is a cabbage, carrot one with a citrus dressing.

I love a big salad with these ingredients: lettuce, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, fiesta cheese, bacon bits, trail mix with M & M's, poppyseed dressing. Accompanied by plenty of Maxwell House coffee and lots of sweet cream. Give me a big salad and I am one happy heifer. If I am sick my favorite meal is oatmeal & coffee until the ache goes away. My favorite breakfast is Bel Vita breakfast cookies and coffee.
