Basically everyone who I thought were friends have said some pretty bad things to me.
The worst were from the people who I thought were my best friend and a guy who I dated for 2 months only to realize how toxic he was.
My "best friend": "If you don't want me to leave, then stop hanging with that guy (My other friend, who is still my friend by the way)
Ex bf: Wow, You're so dumb to really think that I actually like you. You're nothing. You're just a half human because you can't speak properly.

Still undecided whether this is the worst… guy I’d become instant besties with whilst at uni; perfect friendship based on him being gay, meaning we could have lots of lovely drunken sleepovers and talk about men. One night I told him about the fact that I’d once taken an overdose a couple of years before. He told me ‘I don’t have time for people like that, if you do that again, this friendship is over’. Said friendship seems to have fizzled out now but I’ve often wondered about how much thought went into what he said…

Friends of over 4 years gave me a letter on the day COVID-19 canceled school.

“We are writing you this letter to officially declare that we are no longer friends.”

Why, I have absolutely no idea whatsoever…

I was always a shy tomboy and most people, friends and family included assumed that I would never date. I had my first date at 20. When I told my best friend, like my sister, about it she just started laughing. Because apparently me dating was hilarious. I never saw her with the same eyes and we split a while after that. Other friends make comments or laughed but hers really hurt.
