I love hearing bad book reviews so don't disappoint!

The Cat Who had 60 Whiskers. This was the last in “The Cat Who” series. I loved the series, but this book was an utter disappointment. The plot was all over the place and the characters really deviated from who they had been/what they were like. Maybe it was due to the author’s illness, but this was a horrible way to end the series.
I'd have to say A True Story From a Parallel Universe. The premise had so much potential. It even started well. It's a detective mystery story based in...as it suggests...a parallel universe. Gods and mythical monsters exist. Anubis shows up at one point. It was all great until about 2/3 through and the writer basically just phones it in...the ending was truncated, the solution to the conflict was confusing at best and did not tie in to the story, it was such a disappointment.
Even the main character had some development but I feel like so much more could have been done to make it really great.
I have a few that were probably equally bad and part of the problem was the hype about them being 'classics'. I really hated The Great Gatsby, Wuthering Heights and Huckleberry Finn. The last one had the added problem of having to decipher the actual words that were used!
