You got suspended in school for a reason you can’t quite wrap your head around, what is that reason?

I've always said sometimes you just have to punch the bully in the face as hard as you can. You might end up getting beat up, but they will think twice about picking on you again. Stay true to yourself and don't let the bullies hold you down. Eventually they will fall and you will keep rising.

I didn’t get suspended for this, but I got in trouble for it. My school has a uniform, as it is a Catholic school. It has the standard jumper, shirt, and leggings. One day I wore black leggings and had to take them off (the jumper is at the knee) even though it was a little below freezing outside. Nothing happened about it, but I don’t think people should get in trouble for wearing black pants instead of navy.

Fighting. But there was no fight. In fact, the person I was supposedly fighting was a good friend.

I'm pretty sure it was retaliation for something I did a year earlier that the teacher thought I should have gotten suspended for, but the principal though what I did was perfectly fine.

That story goes like this. We had a substitute teacher in her class one day. The two trouble makers were making trouble. Next day the regular teacher is back in class and makes the entire class write an essay on "why you should behave for substitute teachers". My essay went along the lines of "because then the teacher will make all the students write an essay, even though she knows what students caused the problems. Then the students that didn't cause problems will band together, along with their parents and file a complaint with the school board. The teacher will get fired, their teaching certification revoked and they will end up dying alone living on the streets".

A couple of days after handing that in, I got called down to the principals office where the teacher and my mother were waiting for me. Principal asks why I wrote what I did. "The teacher wanted an essay on what can happen if we don't behave for a substitute teacher."

After a moment of silence, the principal asked my mother if she read it. "Yes." Then if she had a problem with what I wrote. "Not at all."

Another moment of silence. Principle then just says "Neither do I. You can return to class."
