What's the best advice you've ever gotten from someone?

Get a CC and only use it for things you can afford then pay it off immediately to build a good credit report.
The best piece of advice I've ever been given is this:
Don't look back, you aren't going that way - and the only way to go when you reach the bottom is up.
Do not use your home as a credit card. Do not refinance to get that new kitchen, car, vacation; save for those things. Otherwise you'll never get your home paid off.
