I was in a Panera drawing in my sketchbook yesterday, and a little girl, probably 7 years old, came up to me and handed me a little notebook. she said with a smile on her face, "I really like your drawing, this is incase you run out of pages to draw on" it was so sweet

Just had my first time with a new therapist on Tuesday, and whenever i get overwhelmed especially because this was a new person i cant really speak, so the first thing we did was she had these sweet tarts with words on them and told me to pick out the words i feel best describes me and then had us play connect 4 while getting to know each other and it really helped, i thought that was really cool given the fact that past people would just ask me questions and wait like almost the entire hour for me to answer it so...yeah i thought it was really nice :)

Due to medical issues we reluctantly decided to downsize and put our house on the market. Had a few inspections and one day a woman came for a viewing while I was there doing some maintenance. She said to me, I like this place I going to buy it.
She did and the agent later told us that she lived in a rented trailer, was single, had worked all her life (then in her mid 60s). She was a well like cleaner at the local hospital and had just won $1.2million on keno at a local pub. Same day she gave notice and shortly afterward saw our for sale ad. She didn't quibble on price, paid cash and from what we hear is well liked by our former neighbors. We couldn't think of a better person to take ownership of our much loved house.

Happened to me an hour ago. Three days before Christmas and the supermarkets are crackers. I was in the queue for the self-service checkout and saw a lady holding a young baby, juggling with a bag and some items in her other arm. I insisted she go in front of me in the queue and also put her shopping in my trolley while we waited. We had a lovely chat and when it was her turn for the checkout I helped her load up her items and we wished each other Merry Christmas. I scanned my shopping and as I'm about to pay the lady came over and said she's actually a staff member at the store and offered me her staff discount as a thank you. How lovely is that? Gave me all the warm fuzzies. Merry Christmas!!

My little brother (8 years old) was asking me and my sister if we wanted to be the perfect girls (idk why but he's 8 so ig it's fine) and then he proceeded to ask my mom the same thing but quickly afterwards stated, "Oh wait she's already the perfect girl!" And my heart MELTED. And then he felt bad for not calling me and my sister perfect so then he did the same with us, sometimes he drives me insane but its moments like this that make having him worth it all.

Little brothers are supposed to drive us crazy, but if anyone else tried to make trouble for you or your sister, he would do all he could to protect ya'll.

In england, they've just announced that there's going to be a gcse (end of secondary school exams, most people take ~5-10 when you're 16ish) in British Sign Language, which I thought was pretty cool

I don't have a vehicle, so I usually walk or take the bus everywhere. But the one errand I can't do by walking or busing is Sam's Club (a bulk grocery store, for those who don't know) because everything is in big boxes or packages. A friend gave me a ride then we had lunch together. She's a fairly new member of my friend circle, so it was really nice to have a chance to get to know her better. The best part? When she dropped me off at home, she gave me a plate of homemade goodies. I've never had Christmas crack (yes, that's what it's actually called!) before, and now it's my favorite!

I’m not sure how wholesome this is but here goes; about three years ago I saved a baby rabbit. My dog found it, picked it up in its mouth and brought it over to where I was sitting, where she put it at my feet. Because she was in a dogs mouth, she had some bite marks that were bleeding pretty bad. We went over to where the dog was and found another baby rabbit who was unharmed, and one that was [deceased]. We stopped the bleeding, and put them out in the yard in case the mother came back. In the morning they were gone. A coyote might’ve gotten them, but wr left the [unalive] one as well and it was still there. About three years later, I found a [not living] adult rabbit in around the same spot. I buried her, and sometimes I wonder if they were the same one. There’s a lot of bunnies around, so probably not, but I like to think that the very beginning and end of her life were marked by me.

I'm really close to my nephew and I love being an aunt. A couple weeks ago we were hanging out and he told me about an assembly he had at school and everyone loved it and was clapping and cheering at the end. I told him next time he should wave his fist in the air and go, "whoo, whoo, whoo!" He thought I was just making up something silly so I showed him old clips of the Arsenio Hall show and told him it was really a thing that people used to do. Last week was his school's Christmas program, and as a surprise, I went to it. He's tall for his age, so as all the third graders filed out and took their place on the risers he was in the back row and had a pretty good view of the audience. I saw him scanning the audience for his parents and when he found them and noticed I was there his face lit up in a huge grin and he put his fist up, punched the air and yelled, "whoo, whoo, whoo!" God, I love that kid! One proud aunt, here.

Earlier this week, I went to my friend’s house for her birthday party. She has four cats (Patrick, Turle [idk how to spell it], Barbara [male], and another one whose name i forgot and he’s really shy). Well, anyways, we brought Barbara upstairs, and I was laying on the floor with him. We were chilling and I got to pet him a lot. But a couple moments later, he climbed on top of my chest and just loafed there for about 10-20 minutes. Of course, I did not get up during those 10-20 minutes, so i was on the floor, laying on my back, with a cat on my chest. It was the most wonderful experience I have ever had. :3 also i got to see his little toe beans!!! 🐾

PS: Sorry! This isn’t the same account as the original TheOddPotater account, but I am the same creator. Something weird happened to my account, and I couldn’t log back in, so I made a new one. If you don’t believe me I totally understand cause this whole thing seems a lil’ suspicious. Thank you for your patience. ^^
