I feel pressure to return the compliment, and then I have to think of something that I genuinely care about but can't, and then I wonder if the person was actually being genuine, sarcastic or just trying to boost my day or their day. I just say thank you and move on. I don't do fakery.

I'll admit my libido peaked when I was in my late teens. After having a baby it's gone down and now sex just seems overrated, a lot of work and something I feel I must do for someone else, and that doesn't sit well with me. I don't feel any sort of sexual attraction to anyone I find otherwise attractive, in that I would love for them to hug me. That's really all I care about it is snuggling up to someone and feeling loved. Guess I didn't get enough of that in my last relationship. All he wanted was sex, sex, sex.

I still haven’t gone to get the therapy I know I desperately need, all because my mother told me when I was a kid that mental illness doesn’t exist, and “depressed” people are just trying to get attention :’) Oh, and of course, people who want to end themselves are just looking for pity. Thanks, mom! My dad had to sneak me to a therapist when I was 16. (Ironically my mother is, at the least, bipolar, and her paternal grandmother was literally an institutionalized schizophrenic. But it’s cool, I just want pity and attention!) I’m 40 now and her c**p still affects me. I know I need to take care of myself soon, though.

(This might not quite be right for this sorry)
When I went to school and your class was late for assembelly for whatever reason, it could have been the teachers fault or something but it would be called 'The Walk Of Shame' and so something that isn't your fault was made to make you feel awkward or embarrased and yeah.

Oh yeah I miss the teacher I had for 7th grade social studies, he was so. fun. He knew I was super talkative so he would put me next to his desk so I would talk to him instead and then he would move me to the back of the class as far away from his as possible. When I talked in class he would say "willow stop talking please" and i would whisper "sorry!" and he would sigh and say "i can even hear your whispers. that's great.". once, i wanted to be taller than him so i walked on my tiptoes all day (he was still taller) and he looked me in the eyes and called me a shorty pants. And at the end of the year he told me "have fun in 8th grade, don't give the teachers too much trouble" (because i gave him the most trouble) i miss him so. so. so much, he was so fun. (EDIT: i forgot to say once we were coming up to vote on something and my last name starts with S and he said "anyone with a last name a-g come up...... now h-r......... now t-z....... okay i think we're done" and he was looking at me the whole time. It was funny because everybody noticed and I was the only one in the class with a last name starting in S so that was even better)

Nursing a baby in public. I was never embarrassed about it, but I notice that other women seem to be self-conscious and cover up the baby with a cloth. I think everyone needs to relax about this! I think it’s adorable and should be encouraged.

Understandable. There are places that do ban public breastfeeding, like at malls, where they have nursing rooms mall staff expect you to use. Breastfed babies have to be nursed often, especially when they're young. I was told to nurse every 2 hours for 45 minutes (yeah...) and I just found it incredibly lonely. Everyone thinks you want all this privacy when all you really want is to be around people, even if it's sitting on a mall bench, or on the couch having a conversation with family and friends. Not being tucked away in a dark room with the door closed. I can't lie and say that the loneliness didn't exasperate my depression.

I can relate to the nurse thing. Especially since I had undiagnosed anxiety for awhile. I would say I was sick and i’d get picked up by my mom because I was having anxiety and I wasn’t sick. My elementary school nurse was the worst! She’d never listen if you where actually sick

Eating healthy or trying to better your mental or physical health when there are other people around.

For example, every time I try and eat more healthy food (still living at home with my parents) I get anxious that my mum will ask why I put this or that on the shopping list as we don't normally buy it. Or why I was making so much noise/moving around so much upstairs (exercising. My bedroom is right above the kitchen) She asked the first time I did it, but anytime after that, nothing.

I want to eat better but I don't know how to cook, and I can't look it up because I have to ask for permission to visit websites on my phone, and most recipe websites are blocked on my school chromebook (which I am using right now to be on boredpanda) and I'm not going to ask my mom bc she'll tell me that I can join her diet. Like, I am not trying to be VEGAN, like she is, I'm trying to be HEALTHIER, while still being allowed to eat animal products. And if I tell her I don't wanna join her diet she'll accuse me of hating her cooking. Theres no winning. :/ and exercising YES I can't exercise up in my room I am super anxious someone will hear me or walk in on me

I know that everyone’s embarrassments are individual and valid, but NO ONE should have to fear farting in front of their significant other. Try not to do it directly in their nose/mouth (unless they’re into it?) but otherwise… THEY fart too, we all do, and no one should have to fear that their partner will mock them or make fun of them for passing gas. :( I know it’s been a year since this was originally posted, but I’m sending a hug through time and space to OP!

Many things. My body being one of the main ones. I am I'm at a healthy weight for me and my genetics, but I still feel like I have to live up to expectations even though they're from myself for the most part, it's heavily impacted by society, however. I always feel slightly embarrassed if I'm proud of myself and let others know, because some small part of me always says 'Tch, you could do better' and that's the part I pay attention to most, unfortunately.

I used to be so conscious about my body, and how I have to consciously hold in my stomach muscles so that I can breathe properly (thoracogenic scoliosis). It made my posture weird. Also being body shamed by family members and other kids at school. Now I'm the opposite. I DGAF. I walk around my house in my underwear (or completely stark naked), and my kids don't care either. We have a "if you don't want to wear pants, you don't have to" policy at home.

I am so self conscious about my body I instinctively suck in my stomach, even if i am super way too skinny I still suck it in, I can't stop myself, it just happens. Even when no one can see me, like when I'm in the shower or home alone. The only time it stops is when I'm asleep.
